Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Factions Walkthrough Part 15 – House of Ballads Part 2: Ballad of Bloody Bones
Head over to the Ballads Oratory in Ettinmere, you will find it along the southern edge, a ways south of the Theater of Fate. Head inside with the Ballads Signet Ring. Now go forward and talk with King Wencen who sits in the center of the Oratory. He instructs you to head for Uduath in the northwest portion of Ettinmere.
Head up to Uduath once you finish exploring the Ballads Oratory. It is a quick journey and many of the monsters will be quick to fall underneath your skills. It is just to the north of Holnstead, making for a very fast trip.
Once inside, head to the south and you will find Sir Farrara. He is under assault from three Spites, one of which is a Storm Champion. Farrara reveals that Bloody Bones is acting very differently, stealing away an entire camp opposed to a single maiden. Thus begins the rescue mission.
The first of the prisoners is just to the south of you. They are very hard to miss. Free them then head to the west. In the next room you will encounter two Brownies and another group of three Sprites, identical to the last one you encounted. Defeat them and open the door on the northern wall of this room to free the second group of prisoners.
Head into the next chamber to encounter another identical trio of Spites. This one has a Barghest as well to back them up. Defeat them then open the door to the west to free the third group of prisoners.
Head north into the next chamber. There you will fight five Pestilent Brownies. Defeat them and free the prisoners who are held captive in the northern chamber. After that, follow the passage to the north.
In the northern chamber, you will find five more Pestilent Brownies to defeat. With them gone, there is just one group of prisoners left in a chamber on the western side of the room. After that, it is time to to the east and find Bloody Bones.
Bloody Bones
Inside the Chamber, you come face to face with Bloody Bones. You can question him some and with good persuasion you can potentially convince him to let them go. No matter how things go, you will need to fight Bloody Bones. He is a Mage so expect more spells. Immediately he will summon Sprites to his aid. The first is a group of four containing a Storm Champion Sprite. Defeat them, and him, to clear the way to resurrect Sir Farrara.
Once that is done, head back outside and return to the House of Ballads. King Wencen will be surprised at how things have transpired with this telling. He explains that you must begin a new song of your own devising. He tells you to seek out the Librarian in Tenhwa, thus beginning the next quest, “Two Knights and Troll”.
