Proceed forward into the battlefield. Take a moment to get used to your new body. Guard yourself carefully against the oncoming enemy swordsmen. Parry their attacks and respond with quick, decisive counterattacks. Soon, you will be up against the Draugir. Do not get too brash during this battle. Let the enemy come to you. Block its attacks carefully, and try to parry as many as you possibly can. Deal the majority of your damage in this way, and remember that you won’t be able to use Quen to heal, so you may want to down a potion or two before beginning this battle in earnest.
After killing the Draugir, you will be transported into another flashback. In this one, you will have to deliver a message to the commander of the army. You will have to loop around the ridge to the left, which will be dotted with archers, and turn to the left to find the commander after the ridge ends. The archers on the ridge will rain arrows down upon you in waves. Between each wave will be a short respite while the archers reload their bows. Use the various rocks and barricades dotting the landscape as cover to avoid taking too much damage from the arrows. Just be sure not to cower in cover for too long because the barricades can only hold out for two waves of arrows. Immediately after a wave ends, run out of cover and dash to the next piece of cover. Repeat this process until you are at the end of the ridge, and then curve around to the right to find the commander. This will trigger a cutscene in which you will finally find the source of all of the fog.
The Draug will be accompanied by Sabrina. In case you’ve forgotten in the time since Cecil’s little tale of war, Sabrina was the one who wiped out all of her enemies in a massive storm of flames. You will be possessed by the Visitor. You will now be tasked with killing off several waves of incoming enemies. Back up to avoid getting flanked and block and parry as much as you can. When you see an opening in the enemy’s forces, don’t hesitate to strike out vehemently. After you have defeated several waves of the enemies, you will be thrust back into your own body. You may now use magic again, and just in time, too, because you will be tasked with defeating the Draug causing the mist to fall over the land.
