Prototype 2 Walkthrough Part 12 – Taking the Castle, A Maze of Blood

Taking the Castle
Head for the marked contact point with Rook at 847, 1292. Guerra has found out about a meeting Heller wants to be at. Time to grab a Blackwater outfit then head for the meeting at the base around 926, 1270. If you can consume the Blackwater guard on top of the building, you are in a perfect position. Once you get there, the meeting begins. At the conclusion of the meeting, you need to head to the South end of the park, to 831, 1466.

When you arrive at the next site, it is time to consume the scientists there to see what they know. There is a soldier with the DNA marker above his head. Be sure to get him as well since that is a lot of EP for you. Stealth consume the Soldiers then move on on the Scientists. With the Viral Radar right next to them, it is all but impossible to approach them without being detected.

Once you consume them all, it is time to get to Site 2. You would think, but instead the target is to track down and consume Riley. The bonus here is to use an armored vehicle (Like a tank, to destroy one of the marked tanks). Start pummeling the marked tanks then change over to driving one when you get the chance. Be sure to take out any Phase 1 Soldiers first as they can do serious damage to a tank very quickly. Head for the Southern tank to find Riley though you can get most of the others very easily in addition for more fun. Once you find Riley, it turns out he is just human. Get there, consume him, escape the alert and shift into his form to move things forward.

A Maze of Blood
Head for 773, 1364 to begin this mission for Rooks. The best lead to start is with Dr. Gutierrez. Head to the marked location at 850, 1216. An Evolved will be there under cover and they will use the Bio-bomb on one of the nearby Blackwater Soldiers to distract Heller just long enough to escape. Time to hunt him down.

This is a short hunt as he did not have a lot of time to run. The Bio-Bomber will be a block north, somewhere around 809, 1156. Drop down to street level and engage him. He attacks with Blades as usual. At about half health, he will make a break for it. Chase after him, taking to the rooftops. He will eventually hop up there and it will be your chance to finish him off. The memory you get puts Gutierrez on Mercer's side. Time to learn a little more about what is going on.

Once the Evolved is down, head to 901, 1386. This will place you right next to Base Adams. Time to get in there and search for Archer's Contact inside. Now, it is time for you to get into the base quietly and set it up so the Commander will explode. Glide over behind the wall and walk through the gate. Once there, follow the prompts to plant the bomb and have it explode. After the Commander blows, the Evolved will come out and challenge Heller. You get bonus EP for hitting this soldier with a Bio-Bomb.

With the Soldier down, it is time to find Gutierrez himself. Time to start the hunt for him. He is actually quite close. Head South to about 957, 1503. Gutierrez is at the top of the steps in front of the Hall there. When you engage him, the difficulty ramps up with 2 additional Evolved joining him. Once you take him down, then it is time to finish off his guards as well. After that, it is time to work with Rooks to track down Archer.
