Prototype 2 Walkthrough Part 15 – The Descent, Predator and Prey
The Descent
Head over to 787, 1325 to move toward making contact with Dana. From there head South to 891, 1300. You will arrive at a Blackwater Base. Here, you need to find and consume a Pilot so you can make it over to the Red Zone to have a chance to meet Dana.
Head over to the landing pad where the pilot is working on his helicopter. While you can just go all out and attack, things go a lot smoother with some stealth. Head over to the Blackwater Guards and wait for one to cross out of the others' sight. Consume him then work your way forward, eating them all to the pilot. He also has the handy effect of improving your armored vehicle skill.
Once you eat the Pilot, things move forward to the Red Zone after some time to get a handle on flying a Helicopter. RT/R2 is used to ascend, LT/L2 is used to descend while the shoulder button are used for missiles and bullets respectively.
Predator and Prey
After a short flight around the Red Zone, you head for the park at 663, 150. Time to dive into the fight and protect the Telemetry Truck tracking Dana Mercer. Once you make it to the park you will be given a bonus objective to successfully defend against 2 thrown objects.
Just focus your fire on the Brawlers that are coming in. They will rear back to throw some chunks of cement at the truck. When you get the prompt to defend, just hit the appropriate button and use you will achieve the bonus in no time. While defending, keep an eye out for markers. They show the Infected you genuinely need to worry about. Just shoot or blast them away to keep the telemetry truck alive along enough. A good trick here is to alternate between using guns and missiles so one can recharge while allowing you to still dish out decent damage.
When they call out about the Hydra, turn and focus exclusively on that. They are very nasty at a distance. Defeat the 3 Hydras after that. They will go down. The problem here is a Goliath will make its appearance just after they finish locating Dana Mercer. Drop to the marker on the ground to pick up the forces there. Immediately lift off again to avoid dealing with the Goliath. Go high and head for the hotel that is marked to the Southwest. Go in and land on the Helipad. Time to make a dash in a helicopter.
With that drop completed, it is time to head for Dana Mercer herself. To go coordinates 741, 490. Here you will be able to find Dana.
