Sniper Elite V2 Walkthrough Part 9 – Opernplatz, Part 2

Save Schwaiger
There are 3 targets here and not a lot of time to do anything about it. First, take out the one standing behind Schwaiger. He is the biggest threat to him and the one most likely to kill him. Now turn your attention over to the soldiers who will begin to respond. Take them out just as fast and accurately as you can before they can kill Schwaiger.

Cover Schwaiger's path to the library
Time for more tricky shooting. First you need to protect him for a small number of soldiers who are around the area. Focus on each as they reveal themselves from all around. In the end there are about 5 that need to gunned down as Schwaiger reaches the first building.

Inside the building there are 4-6 places that soldiers will attack Schwaiger. The first encounter will be from the sides. If you cannot see them, dash over to the left where there is a gaping hole in the building. After that one, move to the aforementioned hole for certain to cover the rest of the building. Every time he stops, he will be attacked by at least 3 soldiers. He can gun some down but not too many. He is counting on you to resolve matters before they kill him.

When he exits the building, 2 soldiers will come at him. From the museum across from the library and one out of the plaza. Once they are down, an additional soldier will appear and take a few shots at him. Kill him as well.

Relocate to cover the entrance
Head over to the far side of the room you are in. There is a hole in the library that lets you see the entrance of it. Take a spot there and look down. On the far side of the steps some soldiers will take up posts to shoot down Schwaiger. Kill them quickly to avoid having to redo a bit here.

Meet with Schwaiger
Once Schwaiger is in the library it is time to meet up with him. Head on down to the entrance of the library. He will tell you that the Russians are here and they will be rushing the library for them.

Hold your position
You have a little time before the fight. Plant a trip wire mine in front of the library so you have some slack in this upcoming wave fight. There are a good number of troops that will be coming in so lay as many mines as you have, it is the end of the mission after all. Once you get to where Schwaiger is, you can stay there or head to the landing above for the pending fight. Defeat the two waves of Russians to finish out the mission.
