Starhawk Walkthrough 7 – The Pit
Search the Outcast Base
Touch down and head forward into the base. Engage the Outcast there, picking off who you can. After a few are down, you can go for the Razorbacks that are in the middle of the base. Running and gunning is never easier than when in a Razorback. Once the Outcast are down, it is time to start across the bridge.
Just follow the bridges to the next settlement. Be sure that you are driving as the AI seems to have a slight problem about jumping gaps. When you reach it, just slow down some, collect the ally, then keep going on the road. Just keep going until you make it under the Archways. Here, everything becomes available for drop.
Just move onto the platform in front of you and clear it. Now, call down an Outpost and a Launch Pad. This will put you in a great position for what wait on the other side of the building here. You have a few Apex Warriors, Mechs and Outcast. The Hawks are a great answer to all of that.
Clear the Outcast Outpost
You need to take out all the structures on this side to advance. That is at least an Outpost and a Launch Pad. Clear the Launch Pad first to avoid more Mechs entering the battle then focus on the Outpost. This is, of course, after you wipe out the Apex Warriors in the area.
Survive the Ambush
Once that Outpost is down it is time to move on. Move over to the marked hatch. It sealed because the controls got fried along the way. Cutter gets an idea and the Outcast have an ambush inbound. Drop some hardware to get defenses up, like an Auto Turret and a Beam Turret. There are only so many Outcast as this is a lighter wave. With a little defense, it is no problem at all to defeat this wave. Do note that you can lock onto the Outcast with Jetpacks while they are airborne but when they touch down the lock is lost.
Protect the Rift Bomb
Cutter finishes his idea and you can drop a Rift Bomb on the hatch. You need to hold off the Outcast for 3 minutes for the bomb to go off. You will notice there is a Red Circle pulsing out of the bomb. When it goes off you do not want to be there.
Hawks
There are only a few of them. A Beam Turret and friends are the answer here honestly.
Pod Storm
Walls and Auto Turrets go a long way here. Just remember about the “Red Zone”. When they start hitting, be sure to check the building rooftops for Outcast with Rocket Launchers. They are small and sneaky like that. This does the bomb no favors.
When Cutter calls out 30 seconds on the bomb, back off and get a little height. All you need to do now is get through a final push then the bomb will explode. The best news is that push is a Pod Wave. They really do not have much of a prayer. After that all, drop down into the Dry Well.
Rescue Jonas
When Emmett lands, he hears from Jonas. All you know immediately is he needs to get out. A large number of Scrappers come out a Rift that is nearby. Just start and keep moving to take them all out easily.
Escape the Dry Well
Start dashing as soon as the cutscene finishes. The Dry Well is getting flooded with acid. Head up the first 2 ladders. There are a few Outcast along the way but ignore them as much as possible. After that, hang to the left to find 2 Vulture platforms that will allow you to make it up to the top. Just Jetpack from one to another.
