Game of Thrones Walkthrough Part 9 – For This Night and All Nights to Come, Part 3
Objective 4 - “Keep the Wildling from reopening the great door of Icemark.”
Tutorial: Skinchanger
“Mors is a Skinchanger which means he can control his dog. Once you have unlocked a Skinchanger ability for your character, you can give commands to your dog by selecting an ability from the heroic abilties bar. You can access your dog's abilities by pressing the 'Escape Button' and selecting the character page from the pause menu.”
Head through the door you opened when you were attacked by the pair of Wildlings. Head down the hall to the right first. Look the box there to get 1 silver, 5 copper. Now head down the left-hand side all the way.
At the end when you emerge out into the open you will be attacked by more Wildings. There are only a pair of them. One has a sword and the other attacks with their bow. Defeat and loot them. Now start down the stairs that they were on. At the base you will need to deal with Poddy who panics when he hears the Wildling's horn. Deal with him however you want.
Objective 5: “Lead Poddy to a lookout position so that he may cover you with his bow.”
Once that is over then it is time to head on over to the lookout where he is going to be giving you and Terrance over. Head down to the next landing and go through the nearest door on the first floor. You will find another charred corpse. Approach and loot it to get 1 silver 5 copper and find another of Cregan's patrol for their personal belongings. Head down the hall to the right and into the next room. There are 3 more Wildings there that need to be dealt with. When they are dead, Mors will assign Poddy to keep watch from here. Be sure to loot them as they have good weapons and armor.
Objective 6: “Keep the Wildlings from reopening the great door of Icemark.”
Mors and Terrance will be heading down below to ensure that the Wildings cannot get through the Fort's doors. Head back through the door and to the left, toward the stairs. Take the stairs all the way down to the bottom. Head out the door and into the courtyard through the hole in the wall. There is another pair of Wildlings just outside to be dealt with.
Look to the right. At the door you will see 5 Wildlings there. Approach them for another fight.
Tutorial: Armor and enemies
“To the left of an enemy's health bar there is an armor icon. The heavier the armor, the more health an enemy will have.”
Shirt – No Armor
Quilted Leather – Light Armor
Chain Mail – Medium Armor
Plated Pauldron – Heavy Armor
Skull – Boss
Red Skull – Elite Boss
A good number of these enemies do not have armor on. This means they will go down very fast. At best they seem to have Medium Armor.
Once they are all down, Terrance will call out that more Wildlings are coming from behind. Mors will curse and question what Poddy is up to.
Tutorial: Use the dog's abilities!
“If you have unlocked your dog abilities on the character page, you can use them via the heroic abilities bar. You can command your dog to attack certain foes while you concentrate on others. The 'Attack' ability can be used at any time. [...] Other abilities share a common recharge time.”
Sic the dog and Terrance on the archers in the back. This will keep them occupied and let Mors focus on the melee combatants. As there are 5 Wildlings all together, this is a harder fight.
Once the fight is over then Gorn will finally make his appearance. Time for the first boss fight of the game.
Gorn – Elite Boos, Heavy Armor
He can do some serious damage if you give him the chance. Otherwise, focus on saving some energy so you can use interrupts on his abilities. Just that little bit alone can save you a lot of headache and damage. Be sure to keep your dog attacking him as well. Just keep with the interrupting tactic and he will go down before long.
If you find yourself low on health and have abilities to immobilize, use them to retreat a moment and have some the Dreamwine that you found earlier. Be sure you have plenty of health for after the fight.
The moment Gorn goes down, the rest of his tribe will attack Mors. Most have no armor, send the dog at them. The rest have Mors attack with abilities. Just keep fighting until Mors runs out of health. Halfhand will show up in time to save him from the Wildlings. After that though, the scene fades to black and it is onto the next chapter.
