Max Payne 3 Walkthrough Part 4: Just Another Day At The Office Part 2

As you run through the door ahead, another cutscene will initiate. Max and Passos wil sneak through the abandoned soccer complex in time to see a few of the thugs running through the room ahead and closing a shutter. One of them gets left behind and is shot in the leg by mysterious military-looking forces. As they execute the thug, Max and Passos will watch in silence. These guys aren’t police or proper military, that’s for sure, as they will mercilessly gun down the rest of the thugs.

Passos will charge in after them, and you will find yourself in a gunfight with the mysterious enemies. There will be two throughthe doorway ahead, and one taking cover to your right. Take cover behind the desk and fire back at them. Note that these enemies are more heavily armored than your typical Max Payne 3 thugs. Their body armor will allow them to withstand shots to the body much better than a normal enemy, s you should aim for the head. Before you meet up with Passos, head into the bathroom to the right and grab the Painkillers out of the cabinet. Return to Passos to initiate a cutscene.

Passos will charge out in hopes of distracting the sniper. Rush out of cover and follow him into a nook to the right. Take cover behind Passos as he tells you to wait and stay there until you can’t hear any more voices coming from the other end of the hall. You will see a brief flash of the enemies leaving the area. Take more Painkilers from the cabinet next to the large poster on the opposite side of the wall, and then run through the open glass double doors on the opposite side of the room. Watch out for the enemy at the top of the ramp. If you shoot him quickly, you can get him before he runs away. Follow the winding hall and take cover on the wall leading into the television room. You will be able to see one enemy standing by the recording equipment. Pop out and shoot him, and then look to the right to find another enemy. Shoot him as well. A third enemy will come running out to attack you, taking cover behind the recording equipment. Shoot him too, and then pop out and look into the far right-hand corner behind the cameras to find the sniper. Finish him off as well.

Max and Passos will equip headsets so that they can communicate when they’re apart Passos will grab a rifle and Max will volunteer to run down and attack the enemies head on. As soon as his feet hit the ground, activate Bullet Time. Pop a few bullets into as many of the military enemy’s heads as you possibly can, and then take cover behind the bleachers to the right to finish off any stragglers. As you approach the gate ahead, you will see the man with the bag running off and more enemies will run at you from the bleachers ahead.

This checkpoint will be very difficult if you can’t get clean shots on the enemy’s heads. Equip the rifle that one of the earlier enemies had dropped and take cover on the L-shaped corner of metal by the gate. Finish off the enemies coming at you from the front first. As soon as they are all downed, look to your lower left. You will find another group of enemies coming at you from below. Shoot down upon them before they can close the distance, hitting them in the head for maximum efficiency. As soon as you’ve finished off these goons, turn around and look back in front of you again. Another, much larger, wave of enemies will be coming at you from the front. Keep tucked away behind cover and use blind firing if necessary, although it still won’t protect you from taking at least a little bit of damage. Use Bullet Time and acrobatics like the Shoot Dodge function on RB to take the enemies out if you have to. You can get a massive amount of slow motion hang time out of your Shoot Dodge if you dive down the stairs to the left, so use this to your advantage to precisely target the heads of any enemies still shooting at you from above.

When you have finished all of the enemies in this section off, run down the stairs and run straight across the bleachers towards the final gate. When you reach the last gate, turn to the right and head up the stairs to find an open door. Run through the door to reach the next area. There will be another enemy waiting for you up the stairs. Unload your weapon into him and climb the stairs in Bullet Time, as another enemy will pop out as you near the top. Head through the unblocked white door to the left and Max will slip into cover behind a sign.

The enemies here will be unaware. Pop out in Bullet Time and take out the two closest to you, using the element of surprise to your advantage. From here, you will have to worry about enemies coming from both sides to your front. The enemies on the lower part of the walkway might not be accessible to you from your cover behind the sign. Pop out from behind the sign and kill as many people as you can reach, being careful of the one enemy who will attempt to rush you from the left. When the coast seems relatively clear, run up to the left and take cover behind the wall wit hthe poster, grabbing ammo from fallen enemies as you go. From your cover here, pop out and shoot the next enemy or two, who will come running out at you. Also kill any enemies at the lower ground that you haven’t been able to reach yet. Run through the doorway ahead and shoot the enemy behind the desk. Look to your right to find a set of double doors. Just as you see the way ahead, an enemy will break through and attack you. Shoot him. The game should enter Bullet Time automatically and show you a gory finisher, meaning that you have officially ceared the area of all enemies.

Before proceeding ahead, turn to the large memorial with pictures and flowers and examine it to find a clue. Max will talk about a famous and beloved soccer player who unfortunately met his end recently. Head through the double doors ahead and push the button on the side of the elevator to call it down to you. Report your progress to Passos and get into the elevator. It will deliver Max to the upper stands, where Passos will actually be able to provide you with some cover. Don’t rely on it too much, though, as his cover really won’t be all that useful.

Instead, take cover behind one of the ads. The enemies here will be equipped with flashlights, making them difficult to make out. Instead of looking for bodies, look for lights and shoot in that direction. One will be on the top floor with you, to your right. The rest will be spread out in the bleachers below. One of them will try to climb the stairs to reach you. Take out the one on your level first, the one climbing the stairs second, and then focus on the enemies below last, diving down the bleachers in Bullet Time if necessary to draw them out.

After you kill the enemies on the bleachers, Passos will warn you of another sniper. He will distract the sniper while you run to the far end of the bleachers and through the gate. Grab the Painkillers from by the door and head through the door. Shoot the two enemies on the stairs leading to the sniper tower ahead, rushing them in Bullet Time. Climb up the winding stairs to the left to reach the top of the sniper tower, where you will find the sniper. Have your guns fully reloaded and empty your clips into him in order to get him off of Passos’ back.

Now you will enter into the home stretch of this mission. It’s been difficult so far, but you still have to find the man with the bag and make sure that the money gets into the right people’s hands.
