So now it’s time to play a little bit of Zombie Baseball using your newfound grenade launcher attachment. The basic rule of Zombie Baseball are simple: You have to use your grenade launcher to blast zombies before they can reach you. After killing a few zombies, your objective will quickly switch. You will have to place Nick’s head on the glowing body that appears, after which he will attempt to run a few bases while the zombies spawn from the ground and try to stop him. You will have to protect Nick while he makes three increasingly difficult runs. The lock-on on the grenade launcher can be quite generous, but not always in the best of ways. Sometimes, it will end up locking on to an enemy even when another one is much more centered in your line of sight. The best way to counter this and win the difficult Zombie Baseball challenge is to hold down the aim button and then manually aim from there.
Protect Nick as he makes his first run around the bases. He will stop at each base for a brief celebration of having survived thus far, so you will want to keep your crosshair trained on him as he dances around just to make sure that no opportunistic zombies get the jump on him. As he makes the run, try to keep your crosshair generally trained on him. More zombies will constantly be spawning all around the baseball diamond, but it’s only the ones closest to Nick that you will have to worry about in any urgent capacity. The rest can wait. As you stand at home plate, you will want to move around in little circles around the base while firing. This is because you will inevitably run out of grenades at some point and have to restock. A floating power-up will give you more ammo, but it will only spawn in front of home plate, and you won’t want to leave your current view to seek it out and grab it, hence the constant movement so that you will be constantly grabbing the power-up as it respawns. Also note that you can score Sparkle Hunting with the grenade launcher by killing three zombies in quick succession.
Once Nick has cleared three bases, head out of the stadium through the door to the left. As you run through the hall, Juliet will get a call from her mom about Juliet’s other sister. After the call, enter the shop to refill on lollipops and ammo, buy new moves, and more. When you’re done, chop up the two soda machines for more coins and follow the hallway to the locker rooms.
