The Amazing Spider-Man Walkthrough Part 15 – Smythe Strikes Back, Part 1
Inside the Oscorp building you want to creep up to the ceiling and listen into the guards for a moment. Also, be sure to perform a Stealth Take-down on the one guard who is very nearby to begin with. They are talking about like there is something on the loose inside the building. Judging from all the acid slime strewn about, it is very likely at least one cross-species is loose and wrecking havoc freely. There are 4 guards total in this room. The first one is the easiest to pull off a Stealth Take-Down on while the others remain a lot more difficult to manage. It is entirely possible to just go across the ceiling and sneak through the opposite hole in the window. Do note that on the security desk, by the broken window, there is a piece of Audio evidence.
Once the guards are dealt with head for the hole in the window pane opposite where you came in. The guards below activate an electric wall that will trap you inside with them. When you get through 3 guards will come at you. One has a Riot Shield so you must you Leap-Over attacks to connect any hits with him. Just take them on one at a time. With those guards down turn your attention to the generator they powered up. Hit it a few times and it will break, clearing the way forward.
In the following room is a lot of infected scientists and guards. Given time one side or the other will triumph and you can go for the left overs. Still, diving into the battle is not too bad. Just be sure to get anyone with a gun first. You'd regret it otherwise. With the Infected and the Guards down, head for the back of the room and into the open elevator shaft. Be sure to grab the Tech Upgrade sitting in the middle of the floor. Head up a floor but keep clear of the Acid Slime that lines of the top of it. Head through the broken glass panel to move on forward.
Time for you to focus on clearing out guards. Look down and wait for the Stealth Take-Down prompt on the first fellow. Once you have him head for the ceiling. Move carefully around the room and take-down the remaining 5 guards. Go for the one by the elevator last, if only so things make more sense.
Gwen will permanently disable the elevator that descends in front of you. Start wall-climbing up around the Acid Slime and head for the vent shaft at the top of the elevator shaft. Rip off the vent cover and head through the ventilation shaft. After that, navigate around the Acid Slime filling area carefully. Be sure to head around the first metal barrier and go to the left to find a Tech Upgrade.
Head on forward. Things start to get interesting now. In the “Oh dang, oh dang” sense. Watch for the Spidey Sense as the large cross-species will attempt to harpoon Spider-Man through the floor as he moves underneath it. This thing makes about 3 stabs at you. If you evade it every time, perfect. Also, as you reach the exit vent, look to the right of it to find another Tech Upgrade. Grab it then head back into the ventilation shaft.
On the other side it is time to learn about the Web-Grab. You need to drop to the floor, grab the sentries and fling them through the force field at the 2 generators behind them. Just stand in front of the generator and wait for the sentry robot to come to you. Just grab it as you are prompted and throw it through the force field at the generator. Also, explore the area to the right of the ventilation shaft exit. There is a ledge with an Oscorp Security Manual to the right.
