The Amazing Spider-Man Walkthrough Part 17 – Smythe Strikes Back, Part 3
In this room Smythe will over hear Gwen and Spider-Man working together. To make matters a lot worse he sends in a number of his sentries to kill Spider-Man! Either run and Web-Rush Constantly to avoid the blast or go toe to toe with these monstrosities to take them down quickly. After a minute or two the door will be opened by Gwen. It is best to use a Web-Strike and Web-Retreat pattern to survive until Gwen can get the doors open. After that, Rush them and head forward into the elevator shaft.
Immediately start Wall Climbing on the far wall. Move carefully as the elevator is rising and a laser grid defense system is in place. Start by going to the left and working your way upwards. Now move upwards as high as you can. Look to the left. You will spot a clear area above you on the opposite wall. Wait to see where the next laser grid is then move to a safe area to clear it. On this wall, head up but move over to the left as soon as it is safe to continue upwards. After that, slowing spiral over to the right and go upwards. Here you will find an opening in the Acid Slime that will let you move forward. The elevator will stop and you need to exit through the open door.
Once inside the hallway, move carefully. Just a little ways down it you will spot sentries Spider-Man is best off avoiding. Just wait for the laser sensors to look upwards and then Web-Rush down the hallway to avoid triggering them. This is also a good time to get a photo of them. Turn to the left and Web-Rush the next hallway as well. It is just easier than trying to jump over the acid slime.
In the next hallway you have a turret watching over it. Now, rush into it to destroy it. After that it is safe enough to walk forward. Be sure to drop to the ground and go for the back left corner. There you will find another Tech Upgrade. Get to the end of the hallway and Web-sling up to the ceiling.
Look down the hallway and into the next one. There is another turret there but from the ceiling you can Rush it and destroy it with ease. Immediately retreat as destroying the first one will likely trigger the second one. Approach it again once it has lost its lock on Spider-Man. Close in and destroy it as well. Drop to the floor over after that and head over to the left.
The next room has 5 Infected Scientists inside it. None are paying a lot of attention so stealth take-downs are a lot easier here. The problem is this is more a trap. After those 5 are down then 4 Security Guards break the surrounding glass start trying to draw a bead on Spider-Man. Just Web-Rush each of them and take them out in quick succession to avoid the worst of the damage. Once they are down, explore the floor of the room a bit. To the right of the door you want to exit is the second piece of Audio evidence. Opposite that is an Oscorp Manual that you can grab. Now head out into the next room.
This next hallway is a whopper of a challenge. Not only do you have 4 Advanced Combat Drones (kamikaze variety) but the Acid Slime is everywhere. There is also a Tech Upgrade in this hallway that you can grab as well. If you have to fight it out here, the Web-Grab is a great choice, especially with an upgrade or two in it. It will plow through the Drones readily.
With them down, head into the next hallway. It is an easy matter to cross for once. Just Web Rush or run and jump through.
