With Persona 4 Arena, the developer has taken a few steps to minimize confusion when dipping one's feet into this new release, but for fighting newbies or those who are only picking up the game to fuel their Persona fandom, it can still be a daunting task to overcome all of the systems at work in P4A. (The commands listed here assume that the character is facing towards the right. The commands will be reversed when the character is facing to the left.)

• Furious Action: High Counter: Pull this move off by hitting X or A + O or B when an opponent is attacking you
• Furious Action Two: High Counter Two: Pull this move off by hitting X or A + O or B when you are in the air
  
• Skill: Rampage : Hit left on the D-Pad plus Square or X. Alternately, you can hit left on the D-Pad and the X or A button to get the same result
• Skill: Skull Cracker: While in the middle of a Rampage move, hit left or right on the D-Pad plus Triangle or Y. Alternately, you can hit left or right on the D-Pad and the O or B button to get the same result, as long as you are in the midst of a Rampage
  
• Skill: Dragon Kick: Hit upwards right on the D-Pad plus the Square or X button. Alternately, you can hit upwards right on the D-Pad and the X or A button to get the same result
• Skill: Black Spot: Hit upwards and to the left plus the Triangle or the Y button. Alternatively, you can hit upwards and to the left plus the O or the B button
  
• SP Skill: God's Hand: Quickly tap upwards to the right on the D-Pad twice in succession, plus Triangle or Y. Alternately, you can double tap upwards to the right on the D-Pad and hit the O or B button to get the same result
• SP Skill: Power Charge: Hit upwards and to the right twice in quick succession plus the Square or the X button. Alternatively, you can also hit upwards and to the right plus the X or the A button to get the same result
  
• Awakened SP Skill: Agneyastra: Quickly tap upwards to the left on the D-Pad twice in succession, plus Triangle or Y. Alternately, you can double tap upwards to the left on the D-Pad and hit the O or B button to get the same result
• Instant Kill: Galactic Punt: Quickly tap down on the D-Pad three times in succession, plus Triangle or Y. Alternately, you can triple tap left on the D-Pad and hit the O or B button to get the same result
