The most obvious way to get more critical hits is to swing more often, and for that reason this build will want a pair of one-handed weapons- and to massively abuse Frenzy.  Sidearm adds an extra attack on to roughly one in four Frenzy attacks, thus granting more opportunities to hit for critical damage (as well as more damage to targets other than the one you’re hitting, if you happen to be facing more than one enemy).  The second mouse skill is there not because it is to be used constantly, but because it’s a lot easier to hold down a mouse button for a protracted Whirlwind than it is to hold down a key and still move that hand around to other keys you need.

The real secondary set of attack here is Overpower and Revenge, both of which (thanks to Best Served Cold) generate additional critical hit chance- ten percent each, which is pretty big.  Overpower even directly benefits from your critical hits by cooling down faster- and thus giving you more shots at its critical hit benefit.  What’s more, they both hit all enemies around you, giving you multiple-target function that Frenzy, even with Sidearm, can’t really compare to.  Battle Rage (Ferocity) and Wrath of the Berserker (Slaughter) are both obvious choices- thanks to the runes their increase to your critical hit chance both powers the duration of Battle Rage and generates yet more area damage via explosions of gore (pretty!).  In fact, when all four buffs are up and you’re getting injured badly is exactly the right time to pick up Whirlwind and turn into a critting dervish of death and gore, healing yourself rather rapidly in the process.

Ruthless is an obvious choice for critical hit benefits- that’s the entire purpose of the skill.  Inspiring Presence works wonders on Battle Rage, doubling the time you have to begin with and giving you a much higher chance of extending its duration even further.  Between Frenzy and all your critical-hit-chance increases, it shouldn’t be hard to keep Battle Rage up for over a minute and a half at a go.  Boon of Bul-Kathos lets you get to your Wrath of the Berserker more often, since you’re waiting two minutes on it otherwise.  As a side note, if you’re not so worried about area damage, swap Slaughter for Thrive on Chaos.  Frenzy is an amazing Fury generator, and should keep your Wrath going for some really impressive periods of time if you use this setup right.
