The core of this build is Fists of Thunder and the Mantra of Evasion.  Lightning Flash tacks a 15% dodge chance onto Fists of Thunder, seriously ramping up your evasive capability.  This goes well with Mantra of Evasion, which grants a similar increase in dodging capability.  Just to make things nastier for enemies, the Backlash rune causes you to explode with fire every time you dodge, which can result in your enemies effectively killing each other as they try to hit you and not only fail but burn.

Dashing Strike can be used not only to charge at an enemy, but to evade attacks entirely- since it puts you on the far side of your target, it can be very useful for smacking a boss in melee while at the same time escaping the swing they’re about to land.  This only gets better with Blinding Speed giving you a nice Dodge buff every time you use Dashing Strike.  Similarly, Cyclone Strike forces enemies into close range with you- and then gives you an exactly equal kick to your Dodging ability, making it nothing if not difficult for enemies to take advantage of their proximity.  Tempest Rush can, like Dashing Strike, get you out of the way of enemy attacks, and tacking Tailwind onto it not only makes it better for evading enemies, it also gives it enough of a boost to use as a short-range travel skill even if you don’t hit anything.  In the event that you’re in a situation where none of these skills will help you stop getting hit, Seven-Sided Strike will give you a few seconds of invulnerability as you fade into and out of presence while beating on nearby foes.  Several-Sided Strike extends that duration by adding two more attacks onto the pattern to boot, letting you simply not be present if you feel you really need to.

The Guardian’s Path linked to a pair of one-handed weapons gives your overall dodging ability a nice hike upwards ,and while Sixth Sense usually isn’t as strong, more Dodge is more Dodge.  Anything to keep you away from harm while you mangle demons.  Finally, Fleet Footed gives you an additional acceleration boost, not only enabling you to more easily leave hazardous spots, but improving the speed of Tempest Rush as well.

In all, this Monk plays very defensively, using skills at the times that will give it the best shot at dodging or outright avoiding incoming damage while still kicking in the hurt against enemies.  Since there is very little in the way of area damage here, this makes it an excellent tank against many bosses, assuming it can keep their attention from being drawn to other melee attackers.
