Your third victory complete, Oichi congratulates you, and brings up the legends of the pokemon that created Ransei. According to her, the entire region is teetering on the brink of doom- and it’s thanks to a far, Northern force.
A demi-video appears again, explaining that there is another warlord, by the name of Nobunaga, who has set out on the road to conquest. This is not unusual for the area- except for his ultimate goal: the destruction of all of Ransei. The game fades back to Oichi and her Jigglypuff, explaining to you that if Nobunaga is trying to destroy Ransei, then he most likely is trying to find and use the mysterious legendary Pokemon to do so. Her solution?
Find that mysterious Pokemon first.
She points out that it’s a good thing Nobunaga hasn’t gotten anywhere near this far South yet, and explains the next three kingdoms you’re going to see. Pugilis, Violight, and Chrysalia are their names, and they are the next three fortresses to the North of where you are- right between you and where this Nobunaga has been wreaking his havoc. Their warlords, apparently, are well known all throughout Ransei for their power and wisdom, and gaining their allegiance would be more than just a feather in your cap- it would increase your army’s power immensely.
With the fight one and you now in control of a neat triangle of four fortresses, the game prompts you to save again. Once this is done, you can see the map and use your remaining Warriors to do- well, whatever you want them to do. The three new Kingdoms are immediately viewable as well- Violight to the West, directly North of Greenleaf; Chrysalia North of that, and to the East and closest of all, with a direct line to Ignis, is Pugilis.
These three areas are set to provide a new challenge- of the Electric, Bug, and Fighting types respectively, they do not present as easy a set of choices as previous areas. Violight’s Electric pokemon don’t care either way about Bug or Fighting attacks, though the Starly there is promising- or would be if you could obtain it. Chrysalia’s bugs are resistant to Fighting attacks (especially the Bug/Poison Venipede) but in return aren’t terribly effective against Fighting pokemon either. There is a Spheal there to be easily handled by an Electric attack, but the Sewaddle matches that weakness with a resistance. Pugilis is far stronger than either of the other two fortresses, and while the Pansage there needs to be wary of Bug-types and the Fighting Pokemon aren’t as good at squishing bugs as they’d like, they are very tough and resistant to the attacks of said Pokemon- and they don’t mind Electric-types much either way.
This means you’re likely going to have to go in order based on power- meaning Violight first. You could tackle Pugilis before the others, but given that requires more training battles in practice first, I’m going to assume the most sensible and easy order.
