Mercer wants to make sure the crew is staying at least somewhat health. To this end he has asked to collect fruit that he can give to them. Hop onto the 'skiff and head toward the exit to Oasis. Go into the Pirate Settlement just to the South of that travel point in Wurmwater Flats.

Head into the pirate settlement and fight your way up the stairs. Once you can get to the area with the trees on the cliff-side you are in the proper area. Kill off whatever pirates are harassing you then it is onto harvesting the fruit.

Getting the fruit is somewhat trickier than it appears to be. While getting a barrel to go off underneath a tree is a great way to clear off all the fruit with no loss it is simply not practical. To get the best results you want to aim for the part of the tree that the fruit is hanging off of, the stem or just at the top of the fruit itself. It is a good idea not to use weapons with a blast radius as it will destroy more fruit. Still, gather up the fallen fruit and return to the ship's bounty board to collect your reward.

Grendel
Available after completing “A Study In Scarlett” on the Oasis Bounty Board. Sir Hammerlock has a challenge for you in this area. He wants you to hunt down a unique Bullymong called “Grendel” (the very same of Beowulf Fame). The description Hammerlock gives certainly sounds like the Grendel of old. Head into Hayter's  Fool and simply go to the North then around to the West into the Aquanexus. Head over to the Northeast and take the stairs you find in this area up. There is a single Crystalisk on the path so be ready for that

Grendel is not too far in. You will find Grendel's Den at the end of the path. Grendel is a massive Bullymong who will come charging at you. If you have a Fire-type weapon, now is the time to pull it out. Just fire on it and take it down before it can get close. It can do good damage given the chance. Otherwise it is a simple mission. Just blast the Bullymong's face off, collect the dropped loot then return to the Oasis Bounty Board to receive your rewards.

Rewards: $269, 1 of 2 Blue Class Mods, 3945 XP

Message In A Bottle
Head into Aquanexus and find the waterfall by the lift. Jump over to the left and onto the side of the wall. Just slowly make your way over to the right by pressing against the wall. Before long you will be face to face with a skeleton that has the message bottle. Grab the bottle to get a new waypoint added.

You will find the Waypoint in Hotsprings Hideout. Head on up the path until you enter the marked area. Now look back toward the hideout and spot the 2 palm trees. Go over to them and turn around, toward the wall. Move a little to the left and find the bottle wedged into the wall. Smash the wall and head into the hidden room. Kill the Crystalisk that emerges. Now look to the left of the rock in the back underneath the vines. There you will find the “X” you are looking for. Loot that spot to finish the quest.

Rewards: $2,696, Unique Assault Rifle: The Rapier, 789 XP. Rapier Properties: Curse: Take Increased Melee Damage, Boon: +200% Melee Damage
