Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Walkthrough Part 5  – Hostage Rescue 1, Predator's Path: Birds with Attitude

Head over to the Adventure Cabinet that sits to the right of the gateway outside. You will find a Hostage Rescue mission waiting for you there.
Rewards: $200, 4000 CP, Handgun Suppressor

Head out of the base and start over to the Southeast. Once you are close you will see a search area come up on the mini-map. Use the Cyber-eye to quickly find and mark the Cyber-Soldiers in the area. This goes a long way to make sure you can manage things more easily and track where your opponents are.

Move in toward the shielded area in a crouch to make it less likely you will be detected. As you get close, consider throwing some dice to distract the enemies and lure them away from some of the cover you might want to use. This will also let you get a quick first takedown if you go for the Cyber-Soldier to the left of the boxes in the Northwestern corner. Until the number of foes is reduced, go for single kills and do not opt for the thrown weapon kill until you have thinned the numbers more.

If you trigger combat you will need to find the hostage and quickly defeat all remaining soldiers. This is a lot easier if you have cleared most to all the enemy Cyber-Soldiers opposed to having to tear through them all.

When you complete the mission you will be introduced to the Fast travel system and it is explained some to you from the HUD. This is one of the best ways to get around the Island. It is also your main incentive to quickly take over Garrisons so you can travel around the Island much more freely. Open up the Map and travel back to the first freed garrison. Once there the HUD will explain that you will always get credits and attachments for completing these secondary missions.

Head for the shop that is now marked on your Mini-map. You just need to get the Suppressor from it so this will not take too long. If you can afford other things, go for them. After you get the suppressor for the handgun and exit the shop then the HUD will give a summary and it is onto the next mission.

Hunting: Birds With Attitude
Head over to the Adventure Cabinet at the entrance to the Liberated Garrison you have a new Predator's Path mission to undertake having freed the hsotage. The local Cassowaries are planning a rebellion and Rex needs to step in to step in to stop them. Turn around from the cabinet and head on out the opposite side of the garrison. It is only 50 meters out you will find the gear you get for the side quest. Grab it and arm up.

You have a Sniper Rifle to use to find the Rare Cassowary and take it out. Just head to the top of the slope where you get the Sniper Rifle, the Kobracon. Use the scope or the Cyber-eye to find the blue glowing Cassowary. Mark, aim and fire. Be careful as too many shots from your rifle will attract the Blood Dragon which is nearby. You can head on down to the corpses to loot for skins if you care but otherwise it is onto the dam.
