Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Walkthrough Part 6 – Punch It (Getting the C-4000 and reaching the Dam)
Time to get back track with the story missions. Head on out to the Liberated garrison and toward the marker. You need to go to a dam and blow it up. Grab a car and start off to the East. There are some groups of Cyber-Soldiers that rest between the garrison and there. Just be careful or charge on through in a car and you will be fine.
If you want to make a very easy time of the first part of the mission, find a hang glider and use that to close in the dam. You will easily be able to move through the forces without having to fight to make it to the C-4000. Otherwise stealth is highly recommended and disabling the alarms to stop any reinforcements. When you get close you can drop into the nearby water. This will make sure you survive the fall without too many concerns. From there just make your way over to the marker. This will let you get the C-4000 that you are after with some jumping around. With the C-4000 in tow it is time to start working toward the dam itself properly and taking out the guards that have come out. Take some time to mark all the ones you can immediately see. There are 2 in front of you, 1 a few levels above (Sniper), another Sniper to the left, farther down the Dam wall, and a few more Cyber-Soldiers to deal with.
There are 3 locations you need to plant the C-4000 to take down the dam. Start by going over to the left of the stash where you got the explosives. With that in tow start forward, quietly. Ahead you will spot a pair of guards. You can either quietly take them out or just start shooting. If you go for stealth it will be important to use the Dice to distract foes as you move throughout the structure. It is not hard to stay in cover and keep foes distracted. Thanks to the general spread of them, chain takedown and shruiken takedowns are a good idea. If they are closer together, then avoid those 2 methods when possible. Remember to scan the area frequently with the cyber-eye as there are Robo-Dogs in the area. Robo-Dogs are easily dealt with by distraction via throwing Dice. Quietly killing them is a good way to avoid detection as well.
If you want to go for the more violent route then it pays to have a Sniper Rifle (from the “Birds With Attitude” Predator's Path quest). This will let you snipe off the other snipers and most of the Cyber-Soldiers before they can even get close to you. This will also get some Robo-Dogs on you as well. Be ready when you hear the distorted barking. Take them out quickly with your slash to avoid the damage they can do. This will draw all the Cyber-Soldiers and Robo-Dogs toward Rex directly. This has the advantage of being faster though it is a lot more deadly in the short term. Just keep the fight up until you make it to the base of the dam.
