Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Walkthrough Part 7 – Punch It (Planting the C-4000, Meet The Engineer)

When you get to the base of the dam it is only a short ways to make it to the first of the markers. You will see a bright purple marker showing where to plant of the first of the explosives. From the first it is fairly straight forward to easily make it over to the second position where you can plant more C-4000.

The final structural fault is found in the upper levels of the dams you need to head on up the first set of stairs to the right of the second C-4000 location. Head outside and you will hear from HUD again as it explains some about the Flamer units that are found in this area. You have a number of enemies to deal with. It is easier, if riskier to just fight it out here. There is still plenty of cover to work with.

When the Cyber-Soldiers and Flamer are dead, head over to the left from the doorway and look for the ladder leading up. Climb on up it to come across the final C-4000 location. You will find a Flamer over to the left of the ladder so be careful. You will also encounter a Charger with him but that fellow takes a moment to show up.

With the Cyber-Soldiers down head over to the final location. Plant the C-4000 then head over to the left. You need to get to the designated safety area before you can set this stuff off. Just follow the pipes and you will reach the location in no time at all. Rex will pull out the detonator and hope the C-4000 is as a good as the C-400. Hit the button and you get little more than a few puffs of smoke. Grab onto the nearby zipline and ride it over to the ledge to get back into the dam itself.

Rex informs the Doc about this and she tells Rex to head for one of the civilian engineers. Darling will point out one of the civilians to help you sabotage the dam properly. She will give you the personal tracking information so you can find this contact.  Head deeper into the dam and take out the next Flamer who is coming at you from the stairs after having dealt with the forces at the base of them. You will find 3 more Cyber-Soldiers at the top of the stairs that need to be dealt with as well. Be sure to take some time to pilfer Cyber-hearts from some of this soldiers.

Head down the corridor and up the next set of stairs to the right. This will get you to the top of the dam.  You can pull out a Cyber haert and throw at the nearby foes to lure the local Blood Dragon over. It can wreck plenty of havoc on the enemy forces here. It will also give you a good chance to get over to the marked building.

If you choose to fight head immediately for one of the guard houses. This will give you more cover to work with and keep you healthier a lot longer. The dragon is not held back by a shield here so throwing the heart will wreck havoc on the soldiers here. Keep that in mind if you use one of your cyber hearts. Just drop down to the lower area on the Eastern side of the dam to find the way into where the engineer is.

When the fighting is over or you make it inside you will find the engineer none too far in. He will open the nearby door and let you inside the dam itself. Time for another escort mission to get him to the control panel he needs to get at.
