Dead Island: Riptide Walkthrough Part 11 – There Is A Way....: Pathfinders (Marik's Marina to Destoryed Bridge)

With the sidequesting done just for now head back to Marik's Marina. Get to the boat and start it up, hitting the prompted button. Now start going to the West, away from the village you are in and then veer to the right whenever you can toward the suspension bridge and beyond.

There is a very big problem with traveling by boat: Drowners. These things are attracted to the sound the boat makes and will attempt to swarm the boat whenever possible. Given the chance they will climb onto the boat and rush your character. You have a few short seconds to hit the promtped button to avoid getting pulled out of the boat. This can occasionally mean your death as the Drowners can be in fair numbers at times.

The best thing to do is simply to use the speed boost when they are appearing. This lets you run over them and kill them. If one is climbing up up, bump that side against something to dislodge them. It is also helpful to use the Overdrive on the boat. Just be careful when using it. A heat gauge will appear when it is engaged. If it fills completely the boat will shut down.

Throughout the boat ride, go to the right whenever you can. This eventually leads to a beach that is nearby the location you are after. Deal with the various undead that are on the bach then press on over to the East then Southeast. After that you will make it back to the main road. Follow that to the East to reach your destination. The road is out owing to the storm. Time to find another way there. Turn around and start back down the hill

On the way you will come across a BioSphere labrotary.  Just in front of it is a car. Grab the car and head for Halai again. You need to make it back to where the survivors gathered behind the fencing. This means cutting through a good bit of a zombie horde so be ready for it. Jackson explains that Marcus Villa, a local missoary has gone missing. This man knows the island exceptionally well and may know another way over to Henderon. Jackson asks you to go to find this man on behalf of the survivors of Halai.
