Dead Island: Riptide Walkthrough Part 12 – Twisted Mind: Saving The Holy Man (Halai)
Start this mission by heading over to the Northeast, toward the Halai Water Tower you see there. The building you are after is jsut next to the water tower so use that as a reference point to get there. Once you are at the water tower head over to the right and into the building next to it. This building is blissful devoid of zombies with a few containers and a medkit inside. Take advantage of the Workbench on the right-hand side of the room to repair and mod any weapons that you have. This are going to get nasty when you open the next door and you want to be very prepared. Heal up as much as you can so you are in the best condition possible. Head to the Northeastern door and open it when you are ready to start the next part of the mission.
On the other side of the door is a flooded yard filled with the infected. In their ranks is the boss of the area, Joe "Ogre" Somare. He is the introduction to a new enemy type, "Orge." This foe has very powerful attacks, is capable of inflicting a lot of damage, performing a series of attacks and he recovers health when he successfully lands a hit. Thankfully he is in the lower area. This means that you can lob grenades, and molotovs at him and not have to worry about him being able to really get at you. The bigger problem is the horde around him. There are a lot of Walkers that surround him as support.
Getting through this battle is not too hard, if done right. First, stay in the doorway, this will ensure the horde of zombies cannot flank you easily. You can plant a mine of any sort in the doorway and back up to far end of the room. The zombies will move right into the mine and that can take out a good portion of the numerous Walkers that are on the upper level. After you thin those numbers down, head out onto the walkway and lure any surviving zombies over to you and kill them.
Now turn your attention toward those in the pit. You have fish in a barrel here. Just throw some molotovs down there or whatever grenades you want. If you have a gun and ammo, use it here for some easy kills. Once the Orge is down, you can safely head into the pit and finish off any remaining Walkers without much concern.
If you are inclined to step down into the pit to fight the "Orge", be sure to start by lobbing a grenade into the pit. This will thin out the horde of zombies that will otherwise almost instantly overrun you. It is also a good idea to activate Fury before heading into the pit just to ensure that you can maximize the damage you can get in on the Orge without much concern. If things look dicey then start sprinting for the Northern side of the pit. There is a ladder there you can use to climb up and recover. If things are really bad then retreat back to the room with the double doors and close the doors. Recover, repair then reopen the doors and continue facing down the horde.
When the zombies are cleared out head for the far side of the yard. There you will find Marcus Villa. He will only emerge from his hiding place after all the zombies have gone down. Talk with him to complete this quest and move onto the next one, "Where The Dead Live."
