Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 19 – Sundown

Your guide tells you there is a winch powered ferry you can use to get across the water to reach the church. To power it Artyom needs to get fuel to it, either from the plane or the cache at the gas station. It is easiest to start with the gas station. Head forward through the fence and over to the left. Just follow the water's edge and you will find a pair of red flag markers. Check the truck for a new gas mask and filters. After that make a run for the inside of the gas station. There you will find the first few canisters that may have gas in them. Everything in the station is empty.

Head on out of the station through the back. Start looking for the Red Flags. They serve as markers for you to find your way safely through the swamp without falling in too many times. They will also lead you directly to the airplane.

As you enter the airplane look down and to the right. You will find some claymores. Grab them then start into the rest of the plane. You will find the fuel canisters you are looking for at the other end of the plane. From there Artyom will be attacked by a massive Shrimp. He manages to avoid any injury but it will be trying to get in at him. Head into the cockpit for the moment. Look around and you will find a new Gas Mask, filters, ammo and a med kit. Grab what you need and wait out the attack. Time to start looking for the winch powered ferry now.

Follow the markers back to the gas station and head off to the right of it. You will see some street lights ahead, go for others. Be sure to also stop by the one tree you see en route. You will find another filter, gas mask and more Claymores. Just beyond that tree you will find the winch ferry.

Here is where things start to go wrong again. You have a number of shrimp that will move in to attack. There are also some flying demons in the area which does not help much at all. Fight through the first wave of Shrimp and kill them all. After that you need to deal with restarting the engine of the winch ferry. That quickly becomes a small concern over 2 things. The first is another massive shrimp. It has flat forearms which it can use to block incoming shots to the front. The second is a Flying Demon that will close in on you. The good news is they will fight each other given the chance. The better news is this all happens shortly before the ferry gets there. Once Artyom is on the ferry they both tend to vanish.

Once on the ferry throw the lever on the left-hand side of it. This will get you through to the end of the chapter.
