Artyom is still on the ferry and being pulled on through the marsh itself. Just wait until he is brought over to the other end. Look to the right of the winch to spot a container. Open it up to get a few more filters for your mask. After that just head straight on. Start by following the bio-luminescent patches on the ground. After you get across the first stretch of concrete turn to the right and head toward the building there. Go to the car and grab what supplies you can then turn to the left at the front of the car.

There will be a few Watchmen in the area. You can easily kill them with silenced weapons and head shots if needed. Alerting them will bring the total from 2 to 6 that you need to deal with. Kill them then head to left and toward the bio-luminescent patch. Once again the massive shrimp will burst from the water. Run over to the left, around the remains of the wall. Loop around the whole of it then cross the bio-luminescent patch. You will find the first of a few flags. Run straight past it. Follow them straight on into the building in front of you.

Once inside the building you can look around to find another spare filter. After that find the bottom of the escalator and take it on up to the second floor. Head around to the left of the escalator. If you go to the right, look along the floor as there is a trap. You will also find a second room off to the right of the escalator that has another trap on it. Beyond it you will find . Now head for the fire that burns in the corner of the room. You will hear someone call out to you from the Church, likely Anna. She confirms they are expecting you. Head on down the planking toward the ground.

From there you just need to make a dash toward the church. As you cross the log toward it, the massive Shrimp will appear again. This time there is little choice but to fight it. This creature only has a few attacks so there it does have some predictability to it. First, it will generally guard its vulnerable front by placing its 2 massive forearms in front of itself. This will stop it from taking fire from the front. It does leave it vulnerable from the sides through. Second, it will move in close to Artyom and swipe at him. Ducking helps to dodge it, but not always. It is far better not be where you were when it attacks. Finally, it has a charge attack. If you sprint away to the side this lets you get some shots in as it passes you by.

It is best to strafe this monstrosity and take it down with bursts of fire to its sides. Aside from that lobbing some dynamite at it or incendiaries goes a good ways toward killing it off as well. Just keep on the move and avoid stopping. That is when the beast is most likely to attack you.

When the fight is over the Ranger will have you head across the log again. Just go into the church. Anna will be there and grateful that you have made it back.
