Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 21 – Undercity, Part 1

Artyom got some shut eye it would appear. Anna is there when he wakes up and explains herself to him this time. Look in the locker to your right to find some ammo. You will also find another instrument to play to your left. Head on forward from there. IN the next room look to the right of the lamp. You will find some MGA so grab it. Anna will kindly introduce the traveling Gun Merchant who has stopped over for the night. You can upgrade or change out what you have on hand once again. To the left of him you will find an Ammo Exchange. Take advantage of both. Head on forward around the bend. When you are ready for things to move forward just advance to the door.

After things settle down head through the new open door on the left and down the stairs. Head on through the first room and down the next set of stairs. You will eventually find yourself in a level hallway leading deeper into the catacombs. There is little to worry about. When you hear the church bell, just keep going forward. You will see some apparition in front of you. Just keep going forward from there. You will eventually find a makeshift elevator install in an old mine shaft. Take it on down.

The peace comes to an end at this point. You will find yourself under attack from a mutant, Nosalise. Look from left to right to find it then shoot it in the face, repeatedly. This will cause it to fall and a short while later another will appear. Just fight them until the elevator collapses. Artyom will manage to grab a ledge not too far down. Hit the prompted button to survive the encounter with the Nosalise and avoid falling down with it.

You are safe for the moment on this level. Just head on forward through the tunnel you are in. Do not attack the Nosalise. If you do, you will get swarmed. Otherwise they will simply leave you alone. This holds true until you see a horde of them moving through the tunnel in front of you at a high pace. Toward the end of it you will be attacked by 4 Nosalises. Just take them out quickly and head across the passage they run through.

On the other side of the passage you will see some bolts stuck into a body. Grab them and head on slowly through the beginnings of the catacomb. Head on through and around the corner to start into the catacombs itself. Your light will not work for now. Keep going forward until you find the Nosalise eating a corpse. Kill the mutant and loot the body. Head over to the left from there to move on in. get over to the door.

Artyom will find a wheel to the right of the door. Before you can get through it though you will be ambushed by about 6 Nosalises. Kill them, raise the door and get through it. That door seems very one way so just head on through and do not look back. Head to the edge of the platform and take the little gondola down. Turn to the left and take the stairs down from there. Just take the next few stairs down to get to the lower level and start moving toward the lit portions.
