Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 32 – The Dead City

Artyom will find himself  still outside and the Dark One commenting on these ghost that he sees. He will also get in close and give you a filter to help you out on getting through this part. Go forward and head into the first building on the right. Be careful as you head on up the stairs as there are a number of traps. One is found just as you enter the room with the tape recorder. Look for the tape player first. After that just look on the ground and you will find the trap. Interact with the end by the gas can to sever the cable and disarm the trap. Head into the room now and search the desks to find a case with plenty of filters and ammo. After that go over to the left and head on through the other door. This will take you back outside.

Head on past the wrecked car that sits nearby. Head across the way, past the car, to the building forward and to the left. Go in and up the first set of stairs. Go into the doorway on the left and head down the hall there. It will lead straight to a blue door Artyom can open. Do so and head around the red table to the one behind it. There you will find the first Note of the chapter. Search around the outskrits of the room as well to find another filter. With those goods in hand head on out of the room and go back to the stairs and start up the next set. Once again this will lead outside.

This takes Artyom out to a small park. He will receive a vision of it before the War. Go forward and search around. You will find a hole that you can drop into. Do so and the Dark One will speak with you again, stating the little human was looking for a woman: Mother. From there just go on forward through the rest of the tunnel. It will lead you right to a creature that will suddenly attack. Just kill it if you can spot it in advance. Just head through the passage and get out of it.

When you emerge the Dark One will comment on how he cannot see what is around him with his eyes. He can see it in the Shadows better. Artyom will get a vision of nearby being hit by a car. When he comes back to reality a mutant will be attacking him. Kill it quickly. Head on forward. In front of you the Dark One will point out 2 Watchmen. There is also one behind you so be wary of it. Kill the 2 in front of you then turn around and deal with the final one.

Head across the rest of the courtyard and into the open building on the left. Start on up the stairs. At the top of the second flight turn to the right and head into the room. There Artyom will  receive another vision from the Dark One. You will see a family looking out the window. If you head across to the opposite room you will find a filter sitting on the dresser to the left. After that return to where the family was and head over to the left. Go on through the window there and out onto the ledge. Head over to the left and drop down to the ground. Proceed forward along the ground following the road ahead of you. There are some Watchmen in the area that may attack if you take a while getting though. Head on over to the back left and look on the building to the right of the trees and mound of dirt. It is on the front face of the building near the left-hand edge. Climb on up to the top. The Dark One will warn you about a Flying Demon just in time as it swoops in and knocks the top of the ladder off. Artyom will pull himself up onto the rooftop after that.

On the rooftop head over to the far right corner. There you will see the Flying Demon settle down. Shoot at it to scare it off and quickly head for where it was. You will find the second Note for the chapter sitting there. Now head over to the left and into the rooftop entrance. Go on down the stairs. Toward the bottom you will get another vision when you go to the right. Just exit the room and go over to the left to find the stairs down. Take them down and go outside the building into the Metro Entrance. Follow the Dark One into the station itself. Just get through the station and you will find the end of the chapter.
