The Last Of Us Walkthrough Part 14 – Chapter 3: The Outside (Subway Station to Museum)

Now move to the edge of the shop where you took down the Runner. Wait for 2 Clickers to close in on the doorway and then throw a bottle at it. This will lure them both to that location. Quickly arm yourself with a Molotov and lob it at them. This will burn them quickly and relieve you of worrying about them. Head into the center of this station after the fire has gone out and the Clickers there are dead. Head across the center, quietly dealing with any Runner you encounter. There is also a Clicker in the area who patrols the hallway and moves into the Cafe. Take him down wherever you get the chance to do so. After that search the Cafe for Supplements and other useful items.

Then go to the right of the Cafe and down the hallway. This will lead you to the bookstore. Hop the counter and kill off the Runner by the safe. After that open the safe and loot it for the Parts. Now leave the shop and head over to the right, toward the front of the Station. You have 1 more Clicker to deal with there. Move up and kill it.

Head over to the right and stand below the ladder. Hit “Triangle” and Joel will heft Tess up so she can pull down the ladder and let everyone else up. Climb up the ladder and then go on forward toward the Subway tracks themselves. Drop down from there and then start over to the left. Go on up the slope and go down the street to the right. You way forward is blocked by a truck right now so you need a way around it or over it. Head back up the street and turn to the right. Head toward the entrance of the Red Brick building in that direction. As you close on the doorway be sure to drop into a crouch as you approach.

Inside the building, approach quietly as there are 3 Infected Runners just inside. Keep in a crouch and move slowly up to each. Use Listen Mode if nothing else to ensure that Joel keeps a smooth and quiet pace to easily Stealth Kill all 3 Runners. Do not interact with anything else before they are down or they will attack you. With them dead Tess and Ellie will join Joel in the room. Head over to the far left-hand side and search the desk to find some Crafting Items.

When the Runners are dead grab the Rolling Cabinet in the middle of the room. Roll it out the hole Tess and Ellie came in and up against the Semi. When it clanks against it Joel will step back and you can climb up onto it. Drop down to the other side then to face the trailer of the Semi. On the right is an opening which you should go through. Inside the Trailer you will find a 2x4 and an artifact: “Medical Pamphlet”. After that head out of the trailer and go on forward, over to the left. You will find another shutter Joel can raise (Tess will point it out as well). A cutscene runs and the Infected come charging the group.

After the cutscene you are inside a shop. Head over to the left and stop at the table nearby the door. This is a Crafting Table. The first time you can use one your options are limited as you do not have the tools needed for many of the upgrades but it does offer a chance for some improvement to the weapons you have already. Upgrade what you can then head into the trailer that is behind you. Inside there you will likely find some more Supplements for Joel. After the upgrading head to the door to the right of the Crafting Table and open it. Time to head into the Museum itself.
