The Last Of Us Walkthrough Part 29 – Chapter 5: Pittsburgh (Bookstore)

Inside the bookstore, as mentioned, there are 4 more Hunters to deal with. After they talk some about “expansion” and then break up to watch over the bookstore. Head inside and over to the left. There are 2 Hunters that really walk the area. First one will stop at the end of the hallway you find yourself slipping through. Move up behind him and get a stealth kill on him. After that head back some and duck over to the right. Move up against the wall and wait for the next guard to appear. He will likely start moving toward the dead body so just wait for him to get close to move in and take him down as well.

2 more Hunters to go now. Head back to where you came in and then make to the far right-hand side of the store. Go toward the middle and hop the counter you see just ahead to the left. There you can open up a cabinet with some Parts and Crafting Items. This will also give you time to locate and find the remaining Hunters on this level. Continue on over to the right from the counter and look underneath the stairs from the counter. You will find an artifact: “Applicant Checklist”. Watch them and use the times they are out of sight of each other to take them down. Now there are a few more things to be found downstairs. Head for the back-right portion of the lower floor. You will find a window and a door with an overturned filing cabinet between them. Go through the window and look to the left to find an artifact: “Abandon Zone Note”. To the right of that you will find a locker you can loot without much trouble. After that head on through the next window toward the back of the store. Once again to the right you can find another locker to go at and opposite it, on the shelving, are more Crafting Items. With that dealt with it is time to head upstairs.

Upstairs you have 4 more Hunters, more than expected. Head up from the stairs by the counter area you looted and start off to the right. This will make it easier to just sweep around and take them all out. There is still plenty of cover to use. In case a fire fight breaks out get off the stairs and into the book cases.

After the fighting go to the back right corner, where you see the “Dawn of the Wolf, Part 2” poster. Just next to that is a Shiv Door. Break in to find lots of Ammo, Parts and other useful items. If you have cleared all the Hunters out of the area then Ellie will pull out her Joke Book again and read a few more from it. Just endure it some they could be worse. Head over to the left from there and go through the fire door you see open ahead of you.

Head on down the stairs to the bottom of the exit. Look along the side of them to find some Crafting Items. After that go over to the left and down the alleyway in front of you. Take the stairs up toward the next part of the area. Just head up them then drop down to continue on forward.
