Winter Holiday Events 2014 .

Snow is in the air, fires are roaring, and Christmas trees are going up. That means it is time once again for a batch of holiday events in MMOs! We’re compiling a fantastic list of all the events right here. Know of one we’re missing? Let us know in the comments! We’ll be updating the list every Wednesday for the rest of 2014 so be sure to keep checking back.

APB Reloaded – 12 Deaths of Xmas, Snowball Wars, 12 Days of Giftmas

APB is hosting a variety of events this year! 12 Deaths of Xmas is an all new game mode where you can earn secret santa boxes and more. Snowball Wars is exactly what it sounds like, with snowball launchers. Win a Santa hat and reindeer antlers for your character. And finally, each day you get 10 unique kills on the lead up to Christmas you’ll get great in game gifts.

 

Dragon Nest EU – Santa Orc is Coming To Town

From an Advent calendar to new items in the game shop there is something for everyone in Dragon Nest this holiday season. But it isn’t all fun and games. Oh no, Santa Orc is in town and he’s trying to destroy Christmas by stealing all the presents! Stop him and not only save Christmas but also get a few presents for your trouble.

 

Everquest – Dec 3- Jan 3 – Frostfell

Much of Everquest’s 15th Frostfell event is sales in the shop. Get deals on hand mounts, housing pets, potions, statues and armors throughout the event. From December 3-15 take part in your favorite holiday quests. Then on the 16th a new batch of quests will be available to play. To find out which visit this link. And if New Years is more your thing the three New Years NPCs will be returning on December 26th.

EQ Holiday

Everquest 2 – Dec 11 – Jan 8 – Frostfell

Frostfell is back in Everquest 2! There’s a brand new quest that sees players taking part in The Great Candy (Cane) Chase. More craftable items have been added, and you get a gift every day you log in. Of course the old quests are making a come back as well.

 

Final Fantasy XIV – Dec 18-31 – Starlight Celebration

Help make sure the Starlight Celebration is a big success this year by completing quests. You’ll also be able to get your hands on armors, minions, food and more.

 

Guild Wars 2 – Dec 16 – Jan 13 – Wintersday

Guild Wars 2’s traditional Wintersday event returns to Divinity’s Reach once more! In addition to all the events you’ve come to expect there are exciting new events for PvP and WvW. PvP will see their first ever test ladder season while in WvW the rules are getting turned upside down in the WvW Sneak Attack Event.

 

MU Online – December 9-29 – Do You Want to Build A Christmas Tree? and Santa’s Village

MU Online is changing up the idea of an advent calendar by making it all about the Christmas tree. Head to the MU Online website every day and click on the stamp (So long as you have a character level 100 or higher) to get some awesome gifts. On December 16th all players will get invitations to head over to Santa’s Village where they can get random rewards and find Christmas related buffs.

 

Rift – Dec 11- Jan 7 – Fae Yule

Fae Yule returns to Rift once again bringing with it adorable mice mounts, ugly sweaters, new quests, and all the classic Fae Yule events you’ve come to love.

Runescape – Festive Cheer and Winter Weekends

Get into the Christmas spirit with three different events making up Festive Cheer. There are parts of the events that are member exclusives, but most of them are available to all. The Secret World – The Christmas Conspiracy

When you’re invited to a showing of “The Magic Flute” you’re sucked into a Christmas conspiracy that touches the lives of historical figures and find yourself exploring catacombs all to stop the Phoenicians from stealing the heart of Christmas. All the beloved Christmas events from years gone by will also be making a return. The exact dates of the event will be announced on the official TSW forums.
