Becoming a successful raider in The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is tougher than you might think. The game is based on hack’n’slay combat, and navigating your champion through enemy territory is quite difficult - especially when you have a horde of monsters following you around. We’ve prepared six quick and simple tips for beginners and experienced players alike, hoping to help out everyone currently playing the free-to-play title. Here we go:1. Remember Health Potions
Bottoms up!
We are the absolut worst when it comes to using up potions in RPG games. It usually just so happens that we hoard them for particularly hard challenges and save the big ones for last. In The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot however, we have learned to start using them on a regular basis. So listen to us when we say: Don’t be afraid to lose your health potions! They may save your hero’s life from time to time and can easily be restocked at the Potion Brewery in your castle. This way, gentlemen!
Other players can freely decide where to put guardian monsters within their own four walls. Some groups might be really big, while others could consist of just one or two minions. Either way, we recommend gathering a couple of mobs instead of wasting clicks on just a single skeleton. That will get you through castles a bit quicker than usual, considering that every class - no matter who you are playing as - has area-of-effect abilities that will damage more than one target. Just be careful not to run too far and bump into other groups of creatures!3. Keep an Eye on the Clock
Tick tock.
Playing The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot means you’re constantly on a timer as you run through castles and try to reach the treasure room. How long you take determines your overall rating and how many stars - if any - you receive after getting through the player’s defenses. That’s why you should always keep moving and only loot Gold or Life Force if it’s on your path. Don’t waste time by going out of your way to collect simple loot items; avoid exploring the entire castle and taking unnecessary detours - the mini map will help you find the correct way. Above all: Keep your mind on the clock that’s located on the far right corner of your screen.4. Focus on Essential Targets
Casters always die first.
From heavy hitters to little critters: There’s a variety of monsters in this action role-playing game. Whenever we’re on the hunt for more resources and decide to enter another castle, we try to focus on certain minions. Take the Bone Puppeteers, for instance: Depending on their special attack, they will either keep summoning more skeleton warriors, heal nearby allies or boost their damage. For us that’s more than enough reason to kill them first. Same goes for Defend-O-Trons, by the way.Mana regenerates quickly.
Making good use of your mana reserves is especially important when starting out, as most skills are still at their first level and don’t cost much mana to trigger. Feel free to keep every ability on its cooldown - you'll notice that it will take quite a bit before you run out of mana during castle raids. Believe us, you will need the extra power to get rid of Cyclops, Count Snottinghams and other beefy creatures. Don’t be afraid to use up your mana in fights against normal targets either, as that will greatly speed up your progress and help you finish the task within the given timeframe. This last step to surviving castles in The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot seems really easy, but it might come in handy, when you find yourself amidst a horde of monsters, running from fire missiles and avoiding snare traps, all at the same time. In order to not get hit by traps, draw monsters away from anything you don’t want to step into. This will make it easier to avoid extra damage and quickly complete the challenge at hand. Remember that timing is essential! As you play through the free-to-play online game, you will slowly learn each trap’s abilities and know when and where to evade them.
