Heroes of the Storm: Quick Guide to Roles and Classes
As is the case with pretty much every MOBA that is released these days, every character has certain duties to fulfill when playing with and against other players. Do words like Carry, Jungler or Pusher ring a bell? Heroes of the Storm also offers different roles that need to be kept in mind while playing the free-to-play brawler. Blizzard has named them as follows:These stealthy characters are as cutthroat as can be: Assassins might not be known for surviving very long once exposed to open fire, but that’s okay - they’re not meant to be spotted anyways. Once a sneaky hero has you in their grip, it’s probably too late. Their burst damage is insane and will quickly take down even the toughest of enemy targets. Examples include: Kerrigan and Zeratul.Otherwise known as tanks, these behemoths have enough health to fight off even multiple opponents at once. While Warriors are not usually known for dishing out massive damage, they are surely a force to be reckoned with when teamed up with a friend. Examples include: Diablo and Tyrael.There are various ways for players to help each other out in times of need when playing Heroes of the Storm: healing, buffing and increasing one's movement speed. Whoever finds joy in being the one to save the day should look into characters that fall under the Support category. Here, it is essential to always combine your powers with someone else. Examples include: Malfurion and Tyrande.If you are not one to simply copy what everyone else is doing and would rather stand out from the crowd, the Specialist characters are your best bet. Put on your thinking hat, keep a close eye on the battlefield and use your unique abilities to help out wherever and whenever you can! Examples include: Gazlowe and Abathur.
