Guide Xin Zhao League of Legends S6

Challenge

(Innate): Xin Zhao challenges his target with his basic attacks and Audacious Charge, reducing its armor by 15% for 3 seconds. Only one target can be challenged at a given time.

Tips :

A sign above your target indicates that it had been denied.

Reduces your target's armour and has an effect on the ultimate.

   Defy them!
A single target can be defied at a time.

You first attack, which does not apply the debuff, does not benefit from the bonus damages tied to the armour reduction.

Your allies will also benefit from the armour debuff applied to your target.

Does not work under the turrets.

Also works on the sbires and neutral monsters.

Prevents your target from being depushed by your Crescent Sweep (R), this can allow some good moves, such as depushing the whole opposing team except for the weak target.

Three Talon Strike (Q)

(Active): Xin Zhao's next 3 attacks deal bonus damage and reduce his other abilities' cooldowns by 1 second each. The final strike also knocks the target into the air.

  • Cost: 30 mana
Tips :

A blue light shows the activation of the Three Talon Strike.

Xin Zhao, some important damages and a bump.

Xin's damage spell and a cool down recovery
The recovery time of this spell only begins after the 3rd attack has been done, or if you lose the buff (approx. 5 seconds) without attacking. This buff renews for 5 seconds with each attack.

Only the 3rd attack starts the shields that block spells like the Banshee's Veil or  Nocturne's Shroud of Darkness.

Starting the spell resets the auto-attack, allowing you to max your damages by activating the ability right at the end of your attack.

The successive attacks of the Three Talon Strike have a faster attack animation than is the norm,  making a "hit and run" much more efficient because you lose less time in movement during the attacks.

The projection works even if you are blinded or if your attack does not deal any damage.

Each attack benefits from an increase in damage with the damage attack.

The extra damages and the cooldown reduction of the other abilities work against the turrets.

The damage bonus of the ability is not increased by critical hits.

Useful to last hit more easily under the turret.

    Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 seconds

    Bonus Physical Damage Per Attack: 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 (+0.2 per attack damage)

    Total Bonus Physical Damage: 45 / 90 / 135 / 180 / 225 (+0.6 per attack damage)

Battle Cry (W)

(Passive): Xin Zhao heals himself with every third basic attack.

_____
(Active): Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, increasing his attack speed for 5 seconds.

  • Cost: 40 mana

Tips :

Xin's spear changes colour when you activate this spell;

Some attack speed and a bit of sustain

Xin's steroid, powered by Lance Armstrong
It is not necessary to have done the three attacks quickly to benefit from the heal.

The heal also works on the towers or when you have been blinded.

If you want to use the spell's active, do it before hitting with your Three Talon Strike (Q) to benefit from the cooldown reduction.

This spell also has a decent AP ratio (you will win  3.5HP more with the Ignite mastery 17.5 with the Sheen and 21 with the Trinity Force). Only big gains!

    Health Restored: 26 / 32 / 38 / 44 / 50 (+0.7 per ability power)

    Cooldown: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 seconds

Audacious Charge (E)

(Active): Xin Zhao charges and challenges an enemy. The charge deals magic damage to all nearby enemies and slows them for 2 seconds.

  • Cost: 60 mana
  • Range: 600
  • Diameter of AoE: 225
Tips :

When Xin charges his target we see two blades on the ground.

Xin Zhao's gap closer and his slow.

An offensive spell that can also be used defensively.
Upgrading this spell allows you to reduce its recovery time as well as increasing its damages and intensifying the slow.

This spell can be used offensively as well as defensively to survive a gank or to gain distance on your enemy.

It is Xin Zhao's only source of magic damages besides his items.

Xin Zhao immediately attacks his target after having used his Audacious Charge.

This spell allows you to pass through walls and can save you from a tricky situation by using it well. However it does require you to have vision on the target.

The Audacious Charge applies Xin Zhao's passive, Challenge, this must be taken into consideration if you want to use your ultimate for a combo.

Since they are a zone slow and zone damages, it is possible to charge on a creep behind your target so that you don't defy the hero. As such you can use your ultimate to push him in whichever direction you want to make your jungler's gank easier or isolate your target, etc.

    Cooldown: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 seconds

    Magic Damage: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+0.6 per ability power)

    Slow: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 %

Crescent Sweep (R)

(Active): Xin Zhao unleashes a sweep around him that deals physical damage to all nearby enemies equal to a base amount plus 15% of their current health, and knocks them back. Xin Zhao gains bonus armour and magic resistance for 6 seconds with each champion hit.

If a challenged target is hit by the sweep, it is unaffected by the knockback.

  • Cost: 100 mana
  • Diameter of AoE: 375
Tips :

When Xin charges his target we see two blades on the ground.

Xin Zhao's defence buff and the spell that projects his enemies.

   Many strategic possibilites.
It is a difficult ultimate to master and to use, but it offers a huge amount of possibilities to jeopardise the position of the opposing team, all allowing you and your team to burst the opponents.

Its synergy with the passive makes this spell very useful and is just as good in an offensive mode as defensive. It will allow you to both survive a gank in the lane and also create unique opportunities during a combat.

The ultimate's basic cooldown is short and is reduced more by the Three Talon Strike (Q).

It is also a perfect engage, because as well as throwing your opponents, part of the damage is made up of the target's actual life points, which is even more devastating at the beginning of a combat.

The range of the spel is 375 and it throws all opponents a distance of 650, which is a bit further than the range of Audacious Charge.

It is very important to use this spell well in teamfight to make the most of Xin Zhao's power. Try to hit as many opposing champions as possible to benefit from the physical and magical resistance bonuses that last 6 seconds.

It is possible to throw the opponents under your tower thanks to this ultimate to force them to flash and initiate the combat in your advantage.

You can also reset badly engaged battles in a way similar to that of Janna.

    Cooldown: 100 / 90 / 80 seconds

    Base Damage: 125 / 225 / 325 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage)

Bonus Armor and Magic Resist: 15 / 20 / 25 per champion hit

    Maximum Bonus Armor and Magic Resist: 75 / 100 / 125

Pros

Many possibilities thanks to his ultimate and his passive.

Monstrous damages in the early in the lane phase.

The Z allows you to sustain in the lane phase.

A naturally tanky champion, especially if he uses his ultimate.

The ultimate is also very effective in 2 v 2 on the top lane.

Cons

If the opponent in the lane phase has accumulated too much armour then it will be difficult for him to deal damage.

The ultimate requires good vision of the game to be used effectively.

No real escape during a gank, however the ultimate can compensate for this.
