Solution: WoW Character Transfer Completed But The Character Hasn’t Arrived

So today I decided that I wanted to move a World of Warcraft character to another server, so that I could play with some friends. While doing so I also made a faction change from horde to alliance.
Everything went really well, and I got an confirmation from Blizzard saying that the transfer had been completed only 30 minutes after I started the transfer.
Only problem was, that when I logged on to start playing, my character wasn’t there. At first I was thinking it might be a mistake, so I relogged, just to check, still no character.
Oh well, I just waited something like 30-40 minutes, and tried again. Still nothing.

If you’re in the same boat, or know someone that is, here’s what helped me. I know it might sound silly, but actually it did help.

Create a new character on the destination server.

Yes, it’s that simple. I just created a new toon, once I was at the character selection screen again, I found that my character was sitting right there, just waiting for me to start playing again.
