Many people have reported that when they reach level 40 and beyond, the game gets unbelievably hard and therefore you will be using a lot of your time or money to recharge your lives and beat the game.

LINE PokoPoko Review

If anyone knows me in real life, they all know that I am a huge fan of all of LINE Corporation’s games! They create high quality games, featuring glossy and vibrant graphics as well as all of their background music are different and fits with the overall theme of all of their games.

LINE PokoPoko is the second generation game after LINE Pokopang, in LINE Pokopang, the puzzles were in an octagon shaped form and you had to connect all of the game items by using your finger. The game play in LINE PokoPoko is slightly different, but no less enjoyable. Our favorite character, the fluffy bunny protagonist has returned and this time he has brought us his companions and friends to beat the evil demon once again. We have to collect the flowers and make them bloom in this game, if we want to make the flowers bloom, we will need to clear the levels, the missions, and the stages that lies ahead of us.

I felt that the music in LINE PokoPoko differed from the original game, LINE Pokopang. The music was different but it still felt familiar. Nonetheless, the change was welcomed as LINE Pokopang had over 100 levels, and hearing the same background music all over again would just be terrible! The graphics and artwork in LINE PokoPoko is still by far most my favorite part of this game. I enjoyed the challenging puzzles and the multiple variety of stages it offered to me throughout this game.

My final opinion of this game is that it is definitely a fun game. If anyone enjoys puzzle solving games, such as Candy Crush, or Gummy Land, then this game is certainly up your league. LINE Corporation once again makes a great remake and comeback of an old game, and brings it back to life. With the continuous new additions in LINE PokoPoko, LINE PokoPoko can only go up from now.

Ratings

Artwork: The artwork in LINE PokoPoko deserves a rating of 10/10. The artwork is vibrant and cheerful even though there is an evil demon destroying the fluffy protagonist’s home. The graphics are original and they look even more improved since the last game.  In LINE PokoPoko, the graphics are high quality and they also do not overshadow any of the other features in the game.

Music & SFX: The music and SFX of LINE PokoPoko receives a rating of 10/10. Although this game is the second generation game of LINE Pokopang, the music and SFX could not be any more different. The difference is great, as if it was the same, then LINE PokoPoko would be a tad boring. Although the SFX was quite similar, the background music and original soundtrack from LINE PokoPoko and LINE Pokopang are both unique and perfect. For this reason, LINE PokoPoko receives the rating of 10/10 for the music and SFX category.

Story & Originality: The story and originality of LINE PokoPoko receives the rating of 8/10. I really enjoyed the first generation game, LINE Pokopang, however, I found that the same enemy attacking the village was a bit too old. It was sort of like the three little pigs and the big bad wolf, but instead the enemy did not get defeated. I wished there was a new enemy every 50 levels or so. It would make it more interesting, and maybe a battling scene as well. The originality was really good, seeing as the puzzle strategies and the levels are clearly different from LINE Pokopang, but as for the story category, LINE PokoPoko did not do as well. For this reason, in the story and originality category of LINE PokoPoko, the game receives the rating of 8/10.

General Gameplay: The general gameplay category in LINE PokoPoko receives the rating of 10/10. I really liked how LINE Corporation fixed the bugs superfast, as well as the company keeps on adding new summon able animals, companions, as well as new levels and missions. Even when you reach level 100, you will be able to play through a whole new set of stages!

Addictiveness: The addictiveness factor in LINE PokoPoko receives the rating of 10/10. I felt that the game overall did do a great job at entertaining the player as well as keeping their attention on the game. By continuously adding new content onto the game, LINE PokoPoko allowed players to always be able to play new levels no matter when they started or returned to play this game.
