Hero Zero Hack & Tips for Donuts & Coins – New Cheats Available

Either in their childhood or later in life, most people have dreamed about becoming a superhero. Be this dream because of the promise of power or purely to help people, in the end it’s the same wish. As the popular browser game Hero Zero is released on mobiles, now is your time to try the superhero lifestyle and save the neigbourhood!

Hero Zero is an online text based superhero game by Playata, the developer who has also released Operation X – The Agent Game. Their work might not be too widespread on the mobile gaming market, but they sure are very successful with their browser games. Hero Zero seems to be following this trend on mobiles as well, with millions of downloads already.

Hero Zero is rated with an outstanding 4.4/5 stars on the Google Play Store, but has less than enough ratings on the Apple App Store to form a good picture. Overall the game has both veteran and new players who find it to be a great experience. Does it stay fun to this day, after numerous updates? Let’s take a look!

The first thing you need to do as a new player in Hero Zero is to register to the game. It’s an always online game, which is played with millions of other people, so this is a neccesary step to join the fun. When registering, you also have to create your personal superhero. Choose the gender, hair, facial features and skin color of your hero, then dive into the action!

As a new hero, your first heroic missions will be simple and silly deeds. Is the neighbouring grandma’s computer not working? No problem, go and fix it! Are kids ringing the bells of random houses nearby? Fight them! Did the neighbour’s grill shut close? Pry it open before the grilled meat burns to ashes!

You might think that these are not even tasks a real superhero would take on, but all heroes need to start somewhere. You get experience and coins for all missions, which helps in leveling up and getting more serious tasks later on. Don’t ditch the simple missions, as they are your gateway to success!

Any superhero needs some kind of suit, but a beginner might have a hard time to get a cool costume. What is the solution in this case? Looking into the Second hand shop, of course! This shop will get you all kinds of clothing and weapons you might need on your missions, in exchange for coins. These include things like a Moldy Shower Curtain as a cape, the Tickling Feather Duster as a weapon, or Stinky Rubber Boots to seal the deal.

That’s ridiculous, you might think, but Hero Zero’s charm lies in the funny presentation. As you reach higher levels, you will be able to buy actually cool items though, and outfit your superhero with costumes that actually send shivers down the spines of villains!

If you feel tired of constantly saving the neighbourhood, then consider sending your hero to the Work menu, which is less exciting than doing heroic deeds, but pays coins for honest work. If work is not what you are looking for, then there is an option to go to Training as well. You can train your 4 basic attributes here: Toughness, Strength, Brain and Intuition. Toughness decides your amount of health, Strength makes your hits more powerful in combat, Brain is for doing critical attacks, and Intuition is for reflexes and dodging hits from enemies.

Fights work in a way that your superhero and the enemy are placed next to eachother, with stats shown, while they exchange blows until one of them loses all of its health. You can even duel other players’ heroes this way, but be careful not to duel too powerful ones! Dueling can win or lose you coins and honor, of which coins might be more important. Honor is only used for ranking the leaderboards, so losing it makes you fall down the ranks. Other players might also decide to duel you, without your agreement, either winning or losing the battle.

Once your superhero has leveled up to 15, he or she will be able to take on Special Missions, with a new one added after every 15 levels. These move the background story of Hero Zero forward, while also giving you great rewards for completing them.

The online nature of the game also brings some community related features, like the ability to create and join teams. Teams can recruit players to plan attacks against opposing teams, or just to make friends and chat. Ranking on the leaderboards with your team is also an option, if you want to become famous in the game.

Hero Zero also has some microtransactions in the form of donuts, which can be used to complete missions instantly, refresh items in the Second hand shop, refresh missions, train multiple stats at the same time, and even buying unique items. Donuts can be bought in packs starting at 30 for $2.99, all the way up to 2000 donuts for $99.99.

Fortunately there is also an option to get free donuts in exchange for downloading sponsored apps. Some missions can also be sped up by watching an optional ad, if you are impatient, but this is limited to one ad every few minutes.

The game also features an enormous amount of achievements, all of which also award the player with coins, experience and sometimes even donuts for completion. These work as indicators on what tasks to complete to maximize your efficiency.

Cheats & Tips for Hero Zero

As Hero Zero is an online only game, cheats are not the easiest to get a hold of for this title. Still, you probably wish for some cheats to get more donuts, or just want some tips and tricks to make your gameplay easier. Whatever you are here for, I got it for you!

Probably one of the best tips I can give you regarding Hero Zero is that you should always try to take a peek at your heroic deeds, aka achievements. There are so many of them that you won’t get to the end of it. The reason why they are so important is because they give you rewards like coins, experience and even donuts. Check each individual achievements and see which ones give out donuts and try to complete them!

Another good way to get donuts is to download any of the sponsored apps from the game’s offer walls. This might not be the fastest method, but it’s free.

As for a tip to become successful in duels, you should probably try to get more points in your Brain and Intuition stats. If you have high stats of Intuition, it will be much easier to dodge enemy attacks. If you have high Brain on the other hand, it will help with landing critical hits more often, even if you normal damage is low. The general trick though is to try to balance out your hero, getting stats for all 4 attributes, with your preferred one being a little higher than others.

As for when you quit the game, try to send your hero beforehand to work for as long as you don’t plan on checking the game. This will maximize your hero’s income, even while you are not in the game.

As a last tip, if you feel lost in the game, you should consider joining one of the many teams. The game’s forums always have recruiting messages from all kinds of teams. Go on and find the one right for you! Dueling won’t even be that scary anymore, if you have a whole team to back you up, whether you succeed or not!

Hero Zero Review

When I first started Hero Zero, I had no idea what to think, other than the fact that the presentation of the game seemed to be intentionally silly. Soon after registering and creating my hero, I realized how the game doesn’t take itself seriously.

Hero Zero is the easiest to characterize as a parody of other superhero media. You create your mostly helpless, but willing to learn hero and try to turn him or her into a well known superhero.

I decided to create a female redhead hero and sent her on the first missions right away. Most of these missions on the first 10 levels seemed to be pretty silly, ranging anywhere from beating up lawyers that bore housewives, to helping a cat down from a tree. They gave out a fair amount of experience and coins though, which is nice.

With my newly gained coins, I went to outfit my hero in the Second hand shop, which seemed to contain a lot of useless junk, but all of these items had some stat bonuses, so I bought a few. In the end my hero had such a high strength that it was three times as much as her other stats, so she was pretty good at fighting.

I even gave a go to dueling someone, as they attacked me first, without me provoking them. They beat me when I wasn’t looking, but I decided for a rematch, which I also lost the same way. Apparently mostly leveling strength is not that good, when the enemy player dodges all my hits. A little disappointed and licking my wounds, I went back to training and working to become stronger and take my revenge on this player!

I must say overall I liked Hero Zero a lot, even while it takes your new hero some time to really get going, and you have to waste time on some repeating missions and tasks to get ahead. The social features like teams and dueling are also one of the strong points of the game, along with the leaderboards. This is definitely a strong contender in online text based games, so give it a go and you might get hooked!

Ratings

Artwork: I rate the artwork of Hero Zero with a 7/10. The game looks like something from 2006, which might be an insult or a compliment, depending on how you look at it. Personally I haven’t really found the game to be that good looking, but the little smart details like the design of items and characters made me feel better about it.

Music & SFX: The SFX of the game gets a 4/10 from me. Hero Zero doesn’t have any kind of music, which is somewhat of a shame, really. The SFX on the other hand is pretty simple and unimaginative, limited to the sounds of the menus and character moans when attacking. This is definitely the weakest part of the game.

Story & Originality: The story and originality in this title deserves an 9/10. Now this game is what I call original. While the main story is only explained later on in the game, after reaching specific levels, the general idea and presentation is unique in every aspect. I don’t think there is another game like this out there, with such a parody of superhero media.

General Gameplay: I give the general gameplay of Hero Zero a 7/10. Most aspects of the game appear in the form of text options. You want to go on a mission? Read this text about it and wait until the countdown is over. Want to go to work or train? Wait until the countdown is over. Fortunately the fight scenes at least show some action. It’s definitely a fun experience with its witty dialogue and silly look, especially if you are really committed to it and plan on playing for a long time to come.

Addictiveness: The addictiveness of the game gets an 8/10. If you like online text based browser games and superheroes, then this is what you need. It brings the style of the browser game into mobiles, with an easy to use interface and the same welcoming community of players. Definitely give a go to this title, if you are not scared to get addicted to it!

Overall Score: 7/10.
