It is widely known that games are basicly, in the history of humankind, are formed to teach things, while having fun. Games at first, were to be played only by children, because they couldn't focus on what they needed to know, to survive when they grow up. So adults tried finding and did find a way, which now we call games, a mean of teaching their youngsters what they need to know. Also that only children were to play the games, because both, adults were supposed to know all the information the games they invented has to offer, and that adults haven't time or supplies to try having fun while learnng. When conditions are harsh, you learn as you fail, not as you have fun. But today, technology have advanced in a great deal and pool of knowledge became a gigantic ocean of knowledge, of all humanity. Humans, increased in quantity so the ones to share and hold knowledge grew larger in numbers too. This made possible that, games, can now have things to teach even to adults, as well as children.
What and how it may teach an adult something? Quite simple. In old ages, an adult needed to know the ways of life to survive, and survival was what is needed, and even hardly achieved. So trade of all humans were survival. Therefore there were only one topic, one course of knowledge, survival in the wilderness, survival in all means. But now, the knowledge and trade has expanded, extremely much, going over its boundaries and achieving an amount none at those ages could imagine. Now, survival knowledge is one of the things that an adult needs to know, and as minor and trivial as it is. Also that, it probably is known by us all that, today, no single human can acquire all the knowledge on the earth. Put that aside, not even all the knowledge that might be useful for himself, or relatives. So, he could actually use different exotic information and knowledge. We know that, we homo sapiens sapiens have spread all around the universe, living in all sorts of locations with all different conditions and natural rules. Consequently, this makes people live in different parts of the world, contain different knowledge about same matters. Which, as means of travel grows better, grows to be necessary. Even most basicly, languages can be counted in this. An adult might use a knowledge that is foreign to him and his people. But his people cannot teach him a foreign language. As a result, a different source is needed. So when these games, especially today, computer games, are created by people from all over the world, it is likely that even an adult can learn interesting and useful things from a simple game. And even while having fun. Children can learn even more things now, just that unlike early ages, not all of the information they gain is useful knowledge, but some of them. But adults, as they are adults, might use all sorts of knowledge. And they needn't that to survive.
Doesn't it make it quite useful for the adults to play the computer games? In their free time, apart form those things that you use every day, you can actually learn a thing or two while having fun, and if they prove useful, then you can take advantage of it, without actually paying any special attention or forcing yourself. I think adults, in general, must hold off their grudges about playing 'games' and see to it that it can be to their benefit to play. Maybe not as much as children, but surely, some never hurts.
