The evil goblins have assaulted your dragon friends! Raise an army and fight off the goblins to rescue the dragons! Dwarfs & Dragons is a city management game much akin to the likes of Clash of Clans. Build your fortress, send off your dwarves to battle goblins and save the dragon eggs! We’ll help you plan your raids with our Dwarfs & Dragons cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Spend your resources before you complete a level!
When you go out to raid a goblin base, you’ll plunder their meat and gold. Depending on how far into the game, you’ll usually be earning somewhere around 1k gold and meat. When you’re first starting out, your gold and meat storage buildings can only hold a certain amount. This amount is usually low, so the first thing you want to try to do is to upgrade your storage buildings. If you can’t afford it, try spending your resources on something else if you’re close to your cap. You don’t want any loot to be wasted!
2. Upgrade your training camp to level 3 for Armor dwarves!
Once you get your training camp to level 3, you unlock the option to train Armor dwarves. These guys sport two shields, so they’re kind of slow and don’t do too much damage, but they can take a hefty beating before they go down. A good strategy to employ when taking down towers is to send in your armor dwarves first to soak up the tower damage, then bring in your offensive dwarves to take the tower down. They are invaluable to the rest of your team, so make use of them!
3. Center your camp by a lot of gold mines!
Gold mines will produce gold for you overtime. Before you begin to build them, scout around your camp and pinpoint their locations. You can only build within a certain radius of the camp post in the center of your base, so try to fit as many gold mines as you can inside the camp post’s circle. Remember that you move your camp post at any time, but you have to manually put down your walls again!
4. Wall off important structures!
Use your walls to barricade important structures, such as your resource buildings. You don’t need to leave any kind of openings, so go ahead and wall it off completely. Try to position towers nearby so that enemy invaders are forced to take shots while they try to tear down your walls. It’s all about positioning here, so go over your layout until you think you’ve got a good one!
5. Bring a dragon spell with you to every raid!
The dragon spell, as you learn in the tutorial, is great for setting up turrets for an easy kill. They only cost one dragon egg to make, and you get 1 or 2 every time you clear a level. Dragon spells can potentially prevent unnecessary dwarf deaths, so you should always bring it with you every time you raid. The only down side is that the research time is about 3 minutes, so when you’re back at base you should queue it up while you work on other things.
6. Don’t order your dwarves to move too much!
You may not notice this at first, but ordering your dwarves to move to a specific point costs mana. It doesn’t cost anything at first, but it gradually increases every time you use the move command. Only use it when you’re planning specific attacks, like sending in your armor dwarves first to take out a tower.
