Nono Islands Cheats: Tips & Strategy to Surviving the Islands

Join the expedition to the Nono Islands! Nono Islands is a simple one-touch game where you time your movements to avoid all of the dangers in the islands. Search for the long lost treasures! We’ll help you survive the island with our Nono Islands cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Take your time!

I know there’s a timer that’s keeping track of how long you take, but don’t rush! Rushing the number one way to head face first into a hazard. Take each step one at a time, and don’t rapidly tap! Keep an eye out for obstacles and hazards as you take each step.

2. Watch out for the red tiles!

Stone tiles that are tinted red usually indicate danger. Before you step onto one of these platforms, wait a second and scan around. There might be a moving enemy that stops on that tile, or there might be a dart or spike trap nearby that affects that tile.

3. Go backwards if you need to!

Something the game doesn’t tell you is that you can actually take a step back if you need to. Just swipe down on the screen and your character will hop back. This is very useful if you take a wrong turn somewhere and need to backtrack. Also…

4. Recover!

If you accidentally take one too many steps, you will end up falling into the water. However, if you’re quick enough, you can recover! The moment you realize your character is falling over the ledge, immediately swipe down as if you’re trying to move backwards. If done fast enough, your character will grab back onto the previous tile.

5. Collect all the key pieces and treasure maps!

Usually you won’t have a problem finding the chest key pieces as they’re mostly put on the main path, but if you miss one try slowing down and exploring some more. The treasure map piece is also important as collecting all of them in a world will unlock the secret level. Completing the secret level rewards you with an extra continue token!

6. Spend your continue tokens wisely!

This game’s checkpoint system is a bit strict. At the beginning of each level, you are given the option to create a checkpoint there. Doing so spends one token. At any point when you die, you must restart from the last checkpoint you put down. So if you beat a level without using a continue token and die on the next level, you have to go back through that level again! Needless to say you need to be very careful about where you spend your tokens. Aside from cash purchases, the only way to get more tokens is to complete the secret treasure map levels.
