Customize your own car, nail down your shifting skills and take on the world in this exciting game of drag racing. We’ll help you become the perfect shifter with our Perfect Shift cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Get used to the perfect shift timing!

Naturally, in a game all about shifting, perfect shifting is desirable! Keep in mind that each car has its own different timing windows, so try to get a feel for your car before you do the harder challenges. Remember: when the yellow icon on the tachometer shows up, you’re about to hit the green perfect shift range. Be quick on the gear!

2. Personalize your car!

You can change the color of your car, add vinyl, and replace the rims. These are all cosmetic and don’t affect your car’s performance, BUT it does increase your prestige. The higher your prestige is, the more bonus money you’ll earn at the end of a race. If you wanna make the big bucks, you gotta look good!

3. Upgrade your car frequently!

Always check to see if your car has any available upgrades, and if you can afford them. Keeping your car in tip-top shape is very important because eventually it’ll get to the point where good shifting skills won’t be enough to win you a race. An important upgrade to get early on for your car is the nitro boost. A nitro boost can only be used once per race but it can make all the difference!

4. Know when to buy a new car!

Even if your basic car has a bunch of upgrades, it might get outclassed by a stronger car that has better baseline stats. You should be fine for quite some time with your starter car, but after you’re done upgrading all of its stats you may want to consider starting on a new car.

5. Gear down if necessary!

You will be mostly using the gear up button, but hey, we all make mistakes sometimes right? If you shift too early or late into your next gear, you might be stuck at an awkward speed, which will severely hurt in the long run. If you want to get back into the correct speed faster, shift back down and build your speed back up.

And with that, you should be a perfect shifter now! If you have any other tips or tricks for Perfect Shift, let us know in the comments below!
