Make a Lot of Friends: In this game, while you might not have traditional multiplayer mode, you do have the ability to use the AI versions of your friends to help you in battle. The more friends you have the more options you will have when it comes time to battle and you need another hired sword to help you out. This is especially important during the later levels of the game, where the bosses are harder, and the fights are more intense. The cooperative mode of this game means that you need to make friends and utilize them as much as possible, and the higher level they are the better it is for you. You can also use the cooperative mode to earn more points and rewards, so it’s a win-win situation. Be warned though, if you have a lot of friends you will also notice that AI versions of your player will be used by them as well so just be aware that the cooperative mode is a two-way street.

As you progress through the game, you will encounter different levels of the game, which all end with you battling a certain boss or enemy. The first main guy is the person that created a horrible situation, so it’s your job to find out why it happened and bring justice to those that were harmed. You will find yourself immersed in the story as much as the battles, especially if you have played the other four games in this series, because it’s all starting to add up as far as who did what and why, and you have to track these bad people down or kill them in the process. It’s all about revenge and capturing evil, but you must fight off various enemies and travel down questionable paths to locate the truth.
As with any game, the more you progress through it, the higher your level becomes, and this allows you the ability to customize your gear and weapons. You will also be able to upgrade your items via cards being dropped in the various dungeons, but you can also upgrade and get new items or minions by the in-game currency option. After you collect certain cards, you will be able get to your preferable items and equipment by sacrificing the cards, so you need to really pay attention to what cards are being dropped in the dungeon so you know when you can start making your moves for upgrades.
The one really bad thing about Dungeon Hunter 5 is that there is no true multiplayer option, as it was previously thought, and this kind of really stinks because multiplayer really can enhance gameplay. Instead of being able to play in a multiplayer mode, you have the ability to take fake versions of your friends into battle with you, but you can’t take your real friends into battle, so it’s a little weird and off-putting. This fake multiplayer mode is called cooperative gameplay, and then there is also asynchronous multiplayer. The asynchronous multiplayer allows you to customize and build your Guild Stronghold using a multitude of monsters and minions, then you can ravage the loot of other opponents.
Another not so great part about this game was that you don’t really have a lot of variety when it comes to the bad people or enemies, and it can make playing the game a little dull after a while. Not all of the time, but sometimes you will find yourself fighting an enemy and then a few minutes later the same enemy appears again, and then you basically kill them the same way you just did 5 minutes ago. The details when it comes to battles and fighting are really good though, with the enemies all having special abilities and powers that you have to fight, but you also have your own abilities to counter-act them.
Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is fairly good since you experience no lag or connection issues, and you will notice all of the animations of the characters are smooth and flawless. You will notice the levels of details and the animations of the characters in every stage of the game, especially during the battles and the attacks. The gameplay is a typical hack and slash style, but the graphics are more intense and realistic, so it makes you feel like you are really there fighting along with them. The gameplay gets a 8/10 as of right now, since there are still a couple issues that will need to be worked out as more people are downloading the game, and the in-app purchases are limited which does take away a little bit on the gameplay aspect.
Music: One of the main aspects of the sound in this game is voice animation, which is actually done really well, with actors giving impressive lines to say throughout the entire game. The voice acting is a bit better than you might anticipate, although it’s definitely not a highlight of the game, but it’s not annoying either. The music can get a little intense at times, although there isn’t that much music so you don’t get distracted, but the little music that is there fits the battle scenes perfectly. Graphics: The graphics in this game is really intense and you will really enjoy the level of details in all of the minions and various demons you will fight throughout the game. You will really notice how the demons all have their own unique looking features and details, even using animations and expressions during battle. One thing about this game that you will love is the immense level of time it took to put the details together, especially during the battles. The graphics alone make this game worth trying out and it’s easily a 10/10 in the graphics department.
Overall: Overall this is a game that you should definitely download if you have already played the first four titles, because the graphics and animation in this game alone are more detailed and creative than games past. You will also enjoy this game if you like the hack and slash style of action RPG games, with often realistic violence and real looking warriors and demons. There are also dragons in this game that you can use or fight, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, so there is a lot of different aspects to this game that will entertain you for hours. Overall, if you want a very realistic and fun game then you will have a blast with this, especially if you like strategy and trying to capture people, so it’s easily a 9/10.

In the multiplayer, you can choose to either work with others in quests and missions or you can work against them as an enemy. Working as an enemy allows you to go into their dungeon and steal their gold and precious items, but don’t laugh because someone can easily do that to you as well. You will need to go through the game and add friends onto your friends list, which is how you will be able to invite people to join up on the missions. You will not be able to just grab people and have them join you, since the multiplayer mode is not done in real-time. There might be a limit however on how many times you can join your friends in the multiplayer to help you with a mission, which is often the case for free-to-play types of games. When you play in multiplayer and complete missions, you both get Bounty Tickets. You can use the Bounty Tickets to open up Bounty-Specific chests, which contain a lot of great rewards you can use on your character throughout the game. These Bounty Tickets are likely only achieved through using the multiplayer co-op to complete missions, but it’s well worth it for the types of quality rewards you get when you turn in the tickets. If you choose to play in enemy mode against another player, you will have to go through their hideout, having to slash your way through their building setup, which likely has traps and other assorted items along the way. The minions and characters that guard the dungeon are there to protect the gold and other items, so it’s almost like they are the security system for their own castle. Once you get past all of that in their hideout, you will then proceed to fight the other player. As a reward if you beat them, you will be given loot and gold for a successful battle. So it seems like you will end up with some awesome rewards whether you are looking to work for or against the other person in multiplayer mode.

Either way, if you love slicing and dicing your way through demons and other enemies, this is a game you will thoroughly enjoy, especially if you have a knack for looting and raiding. This is going to be a great action RPG filled with excitement and endless possibilities through the online mode and Fusion System abilities.
