Swamp Attack is a game in which waves of zombies attack you while all while you’re sitting on your front porch waiting for them to show up. This game is available on iOS and Android and has a stellar rating amongst both platforms. He lives in an old hut in the middle of a swamp, which comes as no surprise considering the title of the game and the main characters appearance. This time the zombie are reptiles and insects, all sorts of swamp wildlife seems to have gone crazy and there is no explanation for it at the beginning of the game. They come in hoards, slowly advancing, but regardless if they make their way up to your porch without you killing them. At some point during the game our main character has to confront the UFO, which must be responsible for zombifying the animals in the first place.
The zombie wildlife comes in great variety of shapes and sizes. Alligators, huge turtles, raccoons, armed rats, giant venom-spitting mosquitoes, UFOs and big ugly bosses that prove to be much more of a challenge when compared to the smaller monsters. Even though they approach at a steady slow pace, you need time to shoot and reload his shotgun at some points within the wave, so at some point, the zombified reptiles manage to get to him. The more you get kills on the creatures, the more rewards you get. The more golden coins you collect also help out with this. Rewards come in a large variety – dynamite, Molotov cocktail, potions and other boosters can allow you to clear waves of zombies without even having to flinch. The game plays very smoothly and feels quite rewarding, yet challenging. Only the first few levels are piece of cake, so after the introduction you’ll have to load the guy with ammo and defensive structures.
There are four episodes with 126 levels in total as of now. At the end of each episode, you have to confront a boss which takes quite a bit longer than a normal monster wave. There are a few instances of UFO attacks across each episode that you’ll have to deal with accordingly, and those are different because the flying saucers take away all his additional ammo, leaving him with nothing but his shotgun to fend off the zombies. He has to take down the saucers to recover some of his power-ups, fighting off the zombies at the same time. I really feel like the added bosses and small missions to complete within a level make the game much more unique.
Once again we approach the in app purchases or IAPs as I will refer to them for now. The Shop offers several choices when it comes to weapons, defense, explosives and perk packs, such as double coins or reviving potions to make the game that much easier at higher levels. It is possible to play without paying for any sort of IAPs. Assuming you are ok with a bit of grinding and repetitive play then this won’t matter to you. Luckily, you can go back to any level, or play a quick mission to earn some coins when in dire need for some coins to buy whatever it is you need.
By no means do you need to buy weapons because you unlock them as you play, and all you have left to do is upgrade them and buy more ammo for them before each mission. Besides the powerful and reliant shotgun, there is a lightweight UZI, dynamite, Molotov cocktails, refrigerators that freeze the swamp and slow the zombies down, batteries that electrocute them as they move closer to you, and even an atomic bomb. Defensive tools are also unlockable and allow you to erect a pile of garbage that you can put in the swamp to slow the zombies down and even hurt them as they pass through. You may need these power-ups to help you out because you have a limited amount of lives, shown as batteries, and every time you die a battery is emptied. Once you run out of lives you will have to wait thirty minutes for all of them to be replenished, or about three minutes per individual life.
You might be sitting there playing Swamp Attack and thinking aboutpurchasing the coins or potions from the app store to help you progress through the game. These items cost real money in the app store, so there is no sense in you wasting your money on that when we at AppGameCheats have a free downloadable hack tool you can use to get these items for free!

An old tip that works for most games that have an energy regen system, in this case lives, you can make yourself regain it in a much quicker fashion by exiting the game and fast forwarding your device’s date/time settings. While I don’t recommend this for a few reasons I can say that this works with a lot of games and it may work with this game as well. Feel free to try it out and see if it works, just make sure you don’t miss anything important because of the time being set differently.
Another tip I can suggest is to replay levels if you can confidently do them each time. The last level that you had no trouble beating should be the level you replay a few times every now and then to get enough funds for a new upgrade. Unless you want to spend real money on the game, that’s the only approach that works. It’s also good to try the quick missions since they can also reward you with some nice amounts of coins compared to the longer missions.
Use your ammo wisely and make sure that you don’t just waste a large explosion on one or two zombies. Using your explosives against big groups of animals will get you multikills in no time and that will greatly increase your score at the end of the level. Your shotgun comes in handy for those multikill moments since its spread shot can knock down several enemies simultaneously. Make sure you aim for the center of a pack of enemies and shoot to your heart’s content! You’ll have more luck hitting multiple enemies at once if you make sure to aim properly.
The best weapon that I can see, and other sources online agree, is easily the flamethrower. Not only is it sufficient for hitting enemies from a distance, but it’s also quite powerful. The only downside is that it loses juice rather quickly, so you’ll need to make sure it’s properly refilled. Don’t forget to upgrade it as well, so you can expand its attacks both in the water and in the air. The flamethrower is good for massive AoE damage and a very steady stream of fire to spread across the swamp.
Swamp Attack is gaining popularity in both iTunes and Google Play store, and now I understand why, it’s just fun. Players can advance steadily, but not too fast, without going bankrupt on IAPs, and the replay value is quite decent in my opinion. The vast amount of levels provides enough hours of fun for any purpose, be it a 5-minute break, or a 30-minute commute back home for a week or two. Overall, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable time-killer with a cartoonish type charm, if you will. It’s free to play, and I recommend it wholeheartedly for download.
The controls are simple and that’s what I’m looking for in a game like this. All you have to do is tap on the monsters, and your guy shoots them down. The shotgun has its peculiarities, though, and you can’t just keep on tapping like crazy, even though that would be loads of fun, you have to give him time to reload. The UZI fires quick rounds, but it’s less powerful than the shotgun, and the ammo runs out quickly which is really a downfall to it. All in all I really feel like the controls are perfect for this game and leave nothing else for me to want.
What I really like is that it’s an offline game so you can play it whenever and wherever and don’t need to use Facebook or anything to link your account. So that’s always a plus in my mind. The last level I managed to get through was Episode 4 , Level 10 – I started having trouble after this and I’m currently trying to grind to get more upgrades. I am constantly playing the last level on repeat so that I can gain more coins and buy explosives to defeat the upcoming boss that I really do fear having to fight. So far, the explosives that are of utmost importance for stages that have large groups of monsters that are tough to kill.
In conclusion, Swamp Attack is a simple shoot-‘em-up game mixed with a horde mode type of game that is quite well rounded in all areas. The marvelous visuals, the simple game controls, and its’ addictive appeal makes it an easy recommendation to people who want to play and enjoy a game to kill time that doesn’t force a lot of thought to complete a decent amount of the levels. With that said, if by any chance you need to kill time, I could easily suggest wasting your time away by playing Swamp Attack. After all, the time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time at all in my mind. Give this game a try if you think this could be something you would play, make sure to use the tips and tricks.
Artwork: This game has a very charming art style and it captures the idea trying to be portrayed quite well. It really does shine through much more than the music and SFX does. It has a very cartoony vibe like I said before and that is a good thing in this case. Realism would have been a bad approach for this game obviously and I can’t wait to see the designs of more bosses as they come. I would give the artwork and UI a solid 9/10 for the reasons stated above.
Originality: This game stands out to me and I couldn’t be happier with the way it plays and the fact I haven’t seen all too many games that are like this one. The horde style mode is obviously something I’ve seen but the other aspects are completely new to me and this game does a great job of incorporating them into the gameplay. I give the game an 8 /10 for the original idea and use of an older type of game.
Addictiveness: The game’s addictiveness, just like most games that are like this, comes from its level design and the want, or need, to finish more levels and see how strong you could possibly get before levels get too difficult for you to progress anymore. Its’ addictive appeal makes it an easy recommendation to people who want to play and enjoy a game to kill time that doesn’t directly make you spend money and is a pretty easy play overall. I give Swamp Attack an 8/10 for the addictiveness and I hope anybody who tries it can see the game the same way I do.
Overall I would give this game an 8/10 and I feel it could even be a 9/10 at times. I would rather give it a lower score and let you decide for yourself if you play this game eventually.
