Samurai vs Zombies Defense Cheats & Hack for Gems, Coins & Glu Credits

This game isn’t really sure of what it’s trying to be and that seems pretty clear to after playing it for a short while. You can download it free on Android and iOS. The cliche things added to the game make it seem like this may have been a satirical idea by the developers because really, zombies and samurais just randomly thrown together in a horde mode type of game doesn’t seem very normal. If the idea was to make a game that seems so overdone but still manage hours of fun gameplay then they did that quite well in my mind. Other than the IAPs, in app purchases, this game plays fairly well for being so cliche.

So you’re dropped right into the game and right away you find yourself playing as a samurai who has graciously offered to fend off zombies from getting to his village and terrorizing people within. I still fail to see how these two groups go together and it doesn’t ever get explained really – the gameplay doesn’t take a hit because of it though. The game itself is very simple and the only thing you may find wrong with the game is a large amount of in-app purchases that seem to come with every game Glu puts out. Aside from those few things the game tends to be quite fun for not having a whole lot to it.

The controls are as simple as could be and that really does seem to match the type of game this is. Mindlessly running back and forth to try and take a minimal amount of damage while slaying out hordes of zombies makes this game interesting. Hold the right side of the screen to move to the right and hold the left side of the screen to move left. That’s really it when it comes to the basic combat aspect and it may seem boring but the hectic play and the use of special abilities makes the game a bit more bearable in general. To start off with you’ll have a sword and later on you’ll have a bow to take care of enemies at a distance – it proves to be more helpful than you think when there are forty zombies flooding over the bridge straight toward you.

Taking a look at the UI, which is very simplified to match the game once again, didn’t seem confusing at all and I’ll give it a bit of a rundown. You have a few special moves you can use and choose which ones you want to use before each level. So you have a few choices at the bottom right and a little bit more to choose from on the left side. There will be buttons at the bottom left of the screen, just like the ones used for special attacks, and they just so happen to allow you to spawn an ally to help fight until it dies. After one of them dies you can spawn a second one and they do significantly help you out in the long run. Overall the UI is the only part of this game that seems to understand what it’s doing and that is perfectly fine by me.

The last screen you see before you enter battle is a screen similar to the one where you choose the charms you can use during the level. You can either purchase or find the charms as you progress through levels. As you select one it will be displayed next to your health-bar. This charm will be active until you either complete the level, or die. At first I didn’t use many of these but I realized how much they helped out in general. Wealth and Peace both seemed like they were pretty good, but mess around with different ones to figure it out for yourself. All of the charms are explained in game so there is no need to go into detail within the review.

Your reward for slaying out all the zombies and protecting you village are some gold coins that act as the currency for the game. You can buy anything from health boosts in game to an upgrade or two for your fighters that help you along the way. Now this wouldn’t be a mobile game if there wasn’t a shortage of gold and a convenient way to solve it. The shop allows you to trade your real life money for gems that act like gold in the store and speeds up the process of upgrading things. In my mind this is a problem because you can just pay for everything in the game and it defeats the purpose of playing really. Games like this shouldn’t have IAPs within them and they should just make the gold earned from a level more reasonable and not take several hours to get one of the more expensive upgrades.

Now there is always the chance to buy the rare items that you see in the shop – or you can play the mini-game called pachinko. It’s a slot machine that some of you may know about and for those who don’t it’s pretty easy to learn. All you have to do is drop balls down and hope you win at the slot. There isn’t much else to it – you just have to hope you win each time. This part of the game is really the only original part of this game and that’s a stretch for me to say really.

Samurai vs Zombies Tricks & Tips

There are ways to get credits in game other than having to buy them with your own money. The game allows for rewards to be gained by doing things on and off of the app. You can farm them by waiting for drops from enemies. Just simply playing the game will earn you a small amount of gems and that is a good way to make the IAPs less needed for people. You also gain free rewards by playing the game daily – come back every day and play a level or two and at day five you’ll have three Glu credits to use. A screen will pop up when you play for the second day in a row and you can look at the possible rewards to gain. You can also gain them by playing through a large amount of waves. Get to wave ten and you get yourself 5 credits to spend. Every ten levels you go up by there are more and more credits waiting for you to cash in on.

There aren’t a lot of tips to give for this game because of its very simple play style, but there are things you can experiment around with to figure out what exactly works the best for you. Charms are a big part and using your money to upgrade the right thing is going to be crucial for you. There are most likely guides or forums online that have plenty of people to talk about this to and I highly recommend looking for something like that if you so happen to get stuck. Games like these always have a community alongside it and they are usually quite knowledgeable in their field. Just try your best in each level and have fun. The game isn’t supposed to upset you or make anybody mad – it is only there to be a fun game you can pick up and put down at any time really.

Samurai vs Zombies AppGameCheats Review

This game is nothing revolutionary and yet I still feel like it’s worth downloading as a game to play while waiting in line for something or just bored during the afternoon. It has no elements that are really groundbreaking but the aspects of the game that are there are done fairly well and have the general castle defense kind of feel. Many games have tried this idea and the developers of this game seem to have hit the nail on the head this time. The samurai and zombie combo does seem somewhat satirical still and I hope their intention was to make that part of the game as silly and fun as possible.

The game handles very well and there is nothing to complain about control wise due to its minimal features. While swarmed by zombies you never really have to wonder what button to press next – either you go left, right, or use your special ability. Samurai vs Zombies gains a lot from the creators not trying to add more to the game and that may sound odd to some. With more buttons or more things to do in each level it may not feel like the “horde” type game that it’s portrayed to be. You have to defend from the zombies and that’s all, there is nothing else and the title leads you to believe just that. Whereas the levels are sometimes easy as could be there are always bosses to fight against and they put up quite a good fight and require you to not just stand around the entire time.

Sadly as you play through this game for a longer period of time you begin to feel as if the game is just getting boring. I don’t recommend sitting down and aiming to play this and only this for a few hours because the lack of control you have is evident at points and somewhat feels like a game on autopilot. I would limit each session to thirty minutes to an hour just to keep the shortcomings of the game from being glaringly obvious. While this game is not going to break any walls down and have people praising its design the game is a solid play and will last you a while so long as you pace yourself accordingly. Defense games like this will always be around and it just so happens that this game has done one of the better jobs at diversifying the genre with odd cliches. Give the game a try and figure it out for yourself, there’s no harm in playing for a bit and who knows, maybe you’ll get addicted to it.

Samurai vs Zombies Ratings

Artwork: The art style is very cartoon like and by no means was that the wrong choice for this game. The oddly proportioned characters make this game more lighthearted than you would imagine a game entirely about killing zombies to be. It gives off a vibe that reminds me of older flash games that I used to play on my computer and that to me is a plus. Glu has done a great job with the artwork this time and I hope the sequel to this game further improves on this. The game does a great job with its artwork and I give it an 8/10.

Gameplay: samurai-vs-zombiesThe gameplay has its ups and downs as mentioned once or twice before. At times you will get bored, there is no doubt about it and at that point you need to just set your phone or iPad down and take a break. Samurai vs Zombies is fun for a short while, but that doesn’t mean it loses its charm after one play or anything. I plan on playing this game more but I do know when the game has gotten to a point where the mindlessness is getting to be a bit much. The simple gameplay makes this a good pick up and go game which you don’t find in a lot of caste defense games these days. Samurai vs Zombies gets a solid 8/10 for its game play and use of different niches.

Addictiveness: I do not feel like I am addicted to this game and that is once again due to the long play times ruining the game for me. As stated I will still play the game and see very few things wrong with it at this point. In the sense that I will be returning to play then yes, it is addictive, but it will surely not have me glued to my phone for hours on end like some games can manage to do. I recommend giving the game a try and returning a day or so later to see if you still like the game. It has a specific charm to it and I commend the creators for doing it so well without over-selling any aspect really. I would give Samurai vs Zombies a 7/10 for its addictiveness.
