Cookie Jam is a stylish new matching game available on iOS and Android. A game that mixes the gameplay of Bejeweled with the cuteness and fun of Candy Crush Saga, Cookie Jam puts the player in a world of colorful candies and tasks them with the job of making matches, scoring points and getting through an array of levels that vary in difficulty. On entering their first level, players that have played similar titles will feel at home with the rows of colored candies that can be matched in rows of three, four and five, or in an L or T shape, reacting and creating combos to pop even more candies.
But even if you are new to titles such as this, it shouldn’t be too hard to get the hang of. The game differs from other similar titles however through an interesting new dynamic, the “recipe” system. Players are not only expected to make matches, but match specific colored candies that then allow them to complete the overall recipe, cooking desserts such as pies and jellies, and actually watch the recipes come together as they play. When the player succeeds in the recipe, the level is over and they can then move onto the next, and with hundreds of levels to play through, there’s sure to be enough content in Cookie Jam to satisfy you mobile game addicts out there.
Cookie Jam is such a fun and addictive game, much like Candy Crush and a lot of other puzzle games out there. When it comes to Cookie Jam, you need to have a lot of moves, lives, and coins in order to keep progressing through the game without stopping.
The bad part about this is that getting these items requires you to pay real money through the app store, and this can get expensive really quickly. That is why we at AppGameCheats have decided to add Cookie Jam to our hack database, which means you can get moves, lives and coins for free by downloading our hack tool.
Look at the image below to see what the hack tool looks like, and you will notice that the options menu is really easy to understand and setup.
Simply download our free hack tool for Cookie Jam, which takes 30 seconds to download, and it will automatically install within 30 seconds as well. Once it installs, you will need to pick either Android or iOS depending on which device you are using, and then input the amounts of each item you want to add to your account.
Tap “Start” when you are ready to begin the hack process, which takes less than 60 seconds to complete. Once this hack tool is done, you can then open up the app on your device, and you will notice that the items are already added to your account for free. Using this free hack tool gives you all of these items for free as many times as you want, which means you can keep playing the game for as long as you want without spending a dime on anything!
Ok, so if you’ve downloaded Cookie Jam and find that you’re having a hard time with it, here are some hints to get you through. Don’t give up!
Try and take your time and look for larger matches. Matching more candies together nets you greater points and can often leave you with extra turns at the end.
If you see an L or a T match, grab it. That’s 6 or 7 candies at once!
Try and use your special candies sparingly. There are only a select few candies on each level map, so check what you need for your recipe before you start clearing candies.
Although Cookie Jam may seem like basically a clone of Candy Crush Saga, it is actually a much harder game when you progress enough. Try to find large matches rather than matching anything you see, and try and get matches in L shapes. If you see special candies (candies created by making matches) try and include them in your matches to grab even more points and possibly even the candies you need to complete your recipe!
If you’re really having a hard time and you’re out of lives, you can buy in game coins for more lives, or get one of your Facebook friends to give you some lives.
Cookie Jam is another expansive match-3 game that is sure to hook you for hours. If you’ve never played similar titles, Cookie Jam presents you with hundreds of candy matching levels where the aim is to match different colored candies on a grid. This type of game has been done again and again, but the developers of Cookie Jam have added their own little twist to make things a bit more interesting. At the beginning of each level, players are shown the “recipe” they must create, or, more specifically, what types of candies and how many they must match to finish the level. This adds an interesting dynamic to the game, since players are not only trying to match candies for points and in as few turns as possible, but now also need to concentrate on what kinds of candies they are matching so they can make sure to finish the recipe. Players that are tired of the familiar layout of match-3 games might not be too impressed with the visuals (almost identical to Candy Crush Saga), but they will feel relieved to find a variation on the traditional with this system.
One thing that I was disappointed about was the timer put on play. Having to wait for new levels to become available for up to 30 minutes after finishing a section can be very frustrating, and the only way to unlock these levels instantly is by paying real money, which isn’t an option available to everyone. Yet this feature could also be looked at with approval by parents wanting their kids to play less, so if you’re a parent this might actually be a good thing.
The art style in this game is pretty sweet (pardon the pun), but if you’ve played Candy Crush Saga, you might not feel like you’re looking at something very new. The map that’s used to travel through levels is actually almost identical, as are the candies themselves. However, this doesn’t at all take away from the cute and colorful nature of this game, and you’ll no doubt be pleased by the look of it regardless.
As for difficulty, the game presents you with more and more difficult levels as you progress, so if you’re willing to put the time in, you can eventually begin to find levels that challenge even the best of us. I got stuck on 65, but I’m also not very good. You’ll probably do better. And yes, before you even ask, this game is VERY addictive.
If you’re a fan of the match-3 genre that’s all too popular on mobiles at the moment, Cookie Jam stands up as a title in the genre that equals, if not betters, its predecessors.
Artwork: I give Cookie Jam a 7/10 for Artwork. I would probably give this lower because it’s pretty much a copy, but it’s just so darn cute, and it’s hard not to love a screen filled with delicious treats.
Music & SFX: I give Cookie Jam an 8/10 for Music & SFX. The background music in this is nice, and the sounds the candies make when they match is part of what makes this game so addictive.
Story and Originality: I give Cookie Jam a 6/10 for Story and Originality. Although the gameplay is pretty much identical to other titles in the genre and therefore falls short in the originality department, I applaud the developers for attempting to give players a new way to play this kind of game, and I think they have done as much as they can with a genre that is nothing if not stale.
General Gameplay: I give Cookie Jam an 8/10 for General Gameplay. Very fun, and very cute. This game can get anyone playing with its varying levels of difficulty, but also appeals to children with some of its easier levels.
Addictiveness: I give Cookie Jam a 10/10 for Addictiveness. If you’ve never played a game like this, be prepared not to look at much else for the next few days. I could not put this down!
Overall, I give Cookie Jam a 7.5/10
