Pair the addictiveness of a Bejeweled style puzzle format with character battle party play and you have Tower of Saviours, an RPG available for iOS and Android. From the developers of Mad Head Limited, Tower of Saviors combines an awesome role-playing experience and fantasy narrative with compelling, and hugely fun, puzzle-solving mechanics to win battles. Popular internationally, the game offers huge online forums for friend requests and tips, as well as social media connection via the Chinese social media network Weibo. The player takes the role of Summoner, with the option of Twitter and Facebook connection through social network accounts or single play.
Even in single play, the game remains social network style, with the selection of team members and friending RPG online characters within the Tower of Saviors network to gain team and battle bonuses (which prove very useful throughout the game). The use of mythology-inspired narrative and characters, along with the epic soundtrack and battle bonuses, make Tower of Saviors a stand-out app game and one definitely worth the download. With a four and a half star rating on the App store, the game offers some of the best elements of in-app battle and puzzle games, while providing a unique mythology-inspired RPG experience for an app game.
Tower of Saviors is a story-based RPG, with the goal to defeat all battle levels through all stages with your team of monsters through runestone matching and battle combos. Each stage is series of journey levels, with the opportunity to level up, evolve, or give specific skills to your team of monsters via seal card, EXP and coin rewards gained through battle victories. This has the merit of personalizing each journey to the player’s participating team and preferences- as you advance through each stage you can build preferences for your team to have particular skills, or to advance specific team member monsters. In-app purchases get you diamonds, which give you stamina, skills inventory and rare cards bonuses.
The key to dominating the levels and completing the stages in Tower Savior is to aim for good team management and use of combos- meaning going for combo bonuses that work to your team’s strength and good use of your reward cards on your team. This gets increasingly complex as you progress through the stages, so you have to choose more carefully among a list of potential team members. Good choice of team member skills leads to better specialized combos, but there are a few primary runestone combos in battle mode you can use from the beginning of the game that help you progress more quickly and gain faster victories:
Multiple attack: 5 or more matching runestones to damage all enemies in multiple opponent battles
Unbroken chain: stacking single (3 match runestone) with multiple attacks to build max damage in time limit- builds combo bonus in each attack
Seal and beast card team member attacks: stacking runestones according to team member bonuses earns extra damage
Targeted attack combos: selecting opponents in battle to focus team member attacks
Tower Saviors is such an addictive RPG game, and diamonds and coins are vital to help you get through the game. While you are able to get the diamonds and coins in the app store, this costs real money, and it adds up quickly. If you would like to get the diamonds and coins for free, you need to download our free Tower Saviors hack tool.
If you look at the picture featured below, you will see that the coins and diamonds you want are simply inputted into the options menu.
First, download the Tower Saviors hack tool from our website, which only takes around 30 seconds. You will then need to wait 30 seconds while the hack tool automatically installs. When you are ready to go, press “Start” to begin the hack tool, and it will take about 30 seconds to finish. After that, open up the app on your device, and the coins and diamonds will be in your account ready to use.
The game features special feature battles that give you the opportunity to gain extra EXP points, which can be used to level up, evolve or increase team damage cost. Island bonuses are offered in the earlier stages of the game to increase your EXP and level up, and daily battles play on Saturday and Sundays where you can train to farm more EXP- find these weekend battles ‘Lost Relic Special Battles’ under the top left corner of the world map. Even completing these stages in ‘elite only’ is enough to gain useful EXP.
As you progress to later levels, you unlock later bonuses which give you the chance to access more rewards- the Zodiac Stages are coveted among players for their huge EXP gains and unique skill bonuses, accessible in mid-stage of the game after you unlock the third seal.
You can use the Zodiac stages to your advantage depending on where you are in the game- unlock the easier stages first, Libra (easiest), Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, and then Pisces. You have access to all of them after you unlock the third seal, but its best to play to the strengths of your card deck and team to max out your rewards.
Zodiac stages also drop Astropieces- you can use these cards to opt for battling in Grand-master battles instead of gaining stamina after battle victory.
6th Seal stages are a crucial turning point in the later games (including the surrounding island areas in 6th seal stage). Here players should check for ‘Earned EXP’ or ‘Stamina event -50%’ events, to farm for even bigger EXP rewards than in 3rd seal and zodiac.
The game is incredibly fun to play and also engaging. You need to plan out your team and skills bonuses in order to use battle time effectively, and to save EXP for leveling up before crucial battles. The puzzle element of the game is unique for an app-based RPG, and using skill cards and EXP level ups mean that you can make the most of in-battle puzzles. Probably the best part about the in-battle puzzle element is being able to exploit combos according to your team’s skills and card bonuses- if you pay attention to your team’s bonuses you can make very lucrative combos and gain really epic rewards.
Probably the best part of the game is the use of a social media type interface- even if you are not playing through Facebook, Twitter or Weibo connections you can find forums online where you can trade user ID info and make really powerful team and ally combinations for your monsters.
However, while the game is really so much fun to play and is incredibly engaging for its mixed combination of RPG, story-play and puzzle games, there are a few elements which could be improved in later additions to make the standout points of the game more enjoyable.
Firstly, while there are bonus battles that are emphasized in the earlier levels, gameplay would be enhanced by including more opportunities for bonus rounds. Proficient use of combos is rewarded in higher EXP, inventory and coin rewards, but including more bonus rounds and personalized game play (aside from team selection and battle choice) would make the game especially more interesting and more challenging, as a way to gain even greater rewards.
Secondly, the social media style use of networking players is a genuinely really strong suit of the game- and one that isn’t offered across many in-app games, and is really quite sophisticated. The use of an online forum that is accessible in-game for friend request specifications would enhance this feature- googling ‘Tower of Saviors friend request’ brings up hundreds of results, but using an in-app forum specifying player skills would really enhance in-game experience as a network app game.
Artwork: I give Tower of Saviors an 8 out of 10 for its Artwork, for its really fantastic use of ancient mythology style aesthetic including intricate lettering and elaborate visuals- the whole thing feels quite ‘fancy’. It definitely helps absorb you in the storyline.
Music & SFX: I give Tower of Saviors a 7 out of 10 for Music and SFX. It combines the suspense of battle and of the story line, and is really very engaging and exciting without being obnoxious.
Story & Originality: I give Tower of Saviors a 9 out of 10 for Story and Originality. The use of RPG, team battle and puzzle game mean that this game offers a genuinely interesting combination of game play types. The social media and online networking aspects, rather than being clunky as in other apps, offers something that benefits the entertainment factor of the game.
General Gameplay: I give Tower of Saviors an 8 out of 10 for General Gameplay. I think this may be to do with the general engrossing nature of puzzles paired with the implicit desire to accumulate cool inventory and defeat opponents with a team of monsters. Either way, its really very fun.
Addictiveness: I give Tower of Saviors a 9 out of 10 for Addictiveness. I think I alluded to this just above, but Tower of Saviors seems to really offer a perfect combination of incredibly fun elements, while at the same time relying on a personalization of your own team and characters- meaning its hard-to-put-down factor completely goes through the roof. Well worth it!
Overall, I give Tower of Saviors a 9 out of 10.
