Talking Ginger 2 Cheats & Hack for Snacks & Jigsaw Puzzles

Ginger is having his birthday and wants you to celebrate with him! Bring the cake and the food, sit and eat together with him or even help him blow out the candles! Even though it’s his birthday, Talking Ginger 2 pays close attention to you and repeats anything you say!

Talking Ginger 2 is a game by Outfit7, the developer behind the various Talking X games, like Talking Tom Cat, Talking Angela, Talking Ben, Talking Santa and many more. In this one the theme is Ginger’s birthday, but the gameplay stays true to its roots!

Talking Ginger 2 has a current rating of 4.1/5 stars on the Google Play Store, while having 4.5/5 stars on the Apple App Store. Ten millions of downloads is nothing surprising for Talking Ginger 2, as for any of Outfit7’s games, but let’s see how good and addictive this one is!

Whether you are familiar with games like Talking Ginger 2 or not, you will have an easy time to get into it. As you start it up, you are met with Ginger, the cute little cat. He is sitting on a stump and celebrating his birthday, but is nice enough to wait for you with the activities.

You can talk to him as much as you want, as he will repeat anything you say. He will listen carefully, putting his paw to his ear then repeat anything he has heard. This includes even non-voice related sounds, like doors shutting, clapping or really anything that is loud enough for him to hear, which sometimes can be funny.

Other than talking to Ginger, you can play all kinds of birthday related minigames with him. You can help him blow out the candles on his cake by tapping on the ones that pop up on the cake, or help him blow the party whistle for as long as you can. You can also help and give him various tasty food to eat, while avoiding things that he doesn’t like. There’s also an option to eat together with him, which is great for little children as a motive to eat their food!

Other than these activities, you can tap on Ginger to slap him gently, which will push him off the stump, but he’ll jump back up in a funny way with his tongue out.
Still, there is more in Talking Ginger 2 in the form of jigsaw puzzles. There are currently 50 little puzzles to complete in the game. Each of these can be unlocked in two ways. One is by doing the various activities with ginger and filling up the bar that appears on each, unlocking a puzzle piece. If you repeat this enough times to unlock all pieces for a jigsaw puzzle, then you can play that puzzle from then on. The other way to unlock the puzzles is by spending snacks on them.

Snacks are the currency of the game and can be used not only for unlocking puzzles, but some snacks are also required to play the eating minigames. Snacks can be gotten free from a daily wheelspin, sending an email about Ginger or subscribing to the youtube channel of the game, and of course watching ads.

There are other features like the ability to record Ginger and the option to turn on child mode, which disables specific functions like the recording and links to the youtube channel and to sponsored games.

Talking Ginger 2 also features ads heavily, with one being at the top of the screen almost always, meaning that it can easily be tapped accidentally, but there are also fullscreen ads popping in randomly after doing minigames.

Talking Ginger 2 Cheats & Tips

The truth is, Talking Ginger 2 wants you to spend snacks on the unlocking process of jigsaw puzzles, but you can simply use the cheats provided by the game in the form of repeatedly doing the candle blowing, party whistle and eating minigames instead to unlock the puzzle pieces one by one.

A tip to also remember is that you can’t spend real money in this game, so don’t be afraid to use the options to gain free snacks, as none of them charge you. You only need to sit through ads, send emails or visit links.
If you plan on giving the app to your children, you should be careful, as there are ads that can be tapped at the top of the screen and buttons that might cause you to use too much unneccesary data. So turn on child mode, because even while ads can’t be disabled by that, some buttons can.

Talking Ginger 2 Review

After having experienced some of the other Talking X games, I have started Talking Ginger 2 with caution. I have been ”burned” by these games before, but this one actually surprised me.

While Talking Ginger 2 doesn’t have too much of a variety and possible things to do in it either like most of these games, still, it somehow actually manages to make it interesting enough. The birthday related minigames like the candle blowing are actually executed much better. They are actually way more interactive and therefore fun.

The talking aspect honestly still doesn’t amaze me, but at least Ginger’s voice wasn’t as creepy as most of the other talking animals’ usually are.

After trying out every possible button and pushing Ginger off the stump, all that was left were the puzzles. These can definitely help the longevity of the game, both because it takes a long time to unlock all and because there are a good amount of them available.

The ads are sadly still here as usual and they take up a part of the top of the screen, not even mentioning the pop in ads, which are really annoying. At least there are no microtransactions though, which I think is a good thing in a game like this, where spending money wouldn’t be worth it, in my opinion.

While I personally can’t imagine myself playing with this game for much longer, as I’ve seen all of what it has to offer, I still believe it’s one of the better games in this series. It’s also a very friendly and happy game, so children will surely have great fun with it.

Ratings

Artwork: I give the artwork in Talking Ginger 2 an 8/10. This game looks great, like a 3D cartoon, with very bright colors all around. It just gives off a happy summer vibe. Ginger’s design is also much better than expected at first.

Music & SFX: The music in this game gets an 8/10. The music only plays during minigames and each has a unique one, all of them being pretty good and fitting to the activities. The SFX is also pretty good, even Ginger’s voice is okay.

Story & Originality: The story gets a 6/10 from me. There’s a birthday party and you are invited and have to celebrate with Ginger. This is the basic premise and it’s really basic, but works out alright for the game. I feel like a too complicated story would hurt this game more.

General Gameplay: The general gameplay deserves a 7/10. Talking Ginger 2 is a fun little game, with a limited amount of things to do, but the addition of the minigames that require player input and the jigsaw puzzles make this game a possibly fun experience.

Addictiveness: I give the addictiveness a 6/10. Really, there’s only the jigsaw puzzles that might be worth to come back for, but they are very simple to finish as well. The game is fun for a while, until you have done everything possible, but in the long run Ginger might not have a birthday buddy.

Overall Score: 7/10.
