You even wanted to feel the excitement of participating in a drag race? How about in a drag race only for big cars such as SUV’s and Trucks? Well in that case, Drag Racing 4×4 is just the game for you. With tons of cars to pick from, and multiple game modes, this game is one of the most popular drag race games out on the app stores. Drag Racing 4×4 is developed and successfully released by game developer Creative Mobile. The game has been downloaded over ten million times with a rating of 4.3 out of 5 on Google Play Store and a 4.5 star rating on iOS App Store.
The goal of Drag Racing 4×4 is that you become the world’s best drag racer ever. There are ton of cars and upgrades you can perform in order to be able to achieve this goal. There are several game modes which you can play, such as career mode, which is basically the campaign and main game mode. Next to that, you have the multiplayer mode where you can challenge other random players around the world in a drag race. Winning races will reward you with credits which you can then use to upgrade your cars or buy newer ones.
Every car has three very important attributes that determine how well that car will perform in drag racing. These three attributes are Power, Weight and Grip. You can give your car more power by upgrading its engine, which will make the car go faster. It is important to reduce the weight of the car so it can accelerate in a faster pace. The last attribute is grip, which you can raise by upgrading your cars’ tires. All of these upgrades can be performed in the garage window in Drag Racing 4×4. If you feel like your car is underpowered, you can always purchase newer and better cars at the car dealership. Purchasing higher tier cars is probably a better idea in late-game because your beginner car will quickly become very expensive to upgrade and will always underperform compared to the higher tier cars.
Every car is upgradable in Drag Racing 4×4. You can upgrade the engine, which will give it more power, thus making it faster. You can upgrade the induction to give your car a better BHP. The gearbox is upgradeable as well, which will decrease the shit time of the car. The last upgrade is called weight, which will make your car weight less with every upgrade, so that it can accelerate faster. You can also purchase nitrous packs, and upgrade those nitrous so that it will give your car a better power boost. If you wish to do so, you can also change the color of your car.
If you wish, you can take a nice screenshot of your racecar, with all the technical information about it at the bottom and share it with your friends through social media or email.
Drag Racing 4×4 In-game store
There are two types of currencies in Drag Racing 4×4, the first one being credits which is the basic currency that you can easily earn by playing the game and completing levels. The second one is the premium currency and is in the shape of metal nuts. Nuts are not easy to get but they are very useful, especially if you are looking to play against other players online. There are a lot of annoying advertisements in Drag Racing 4×4 but luckily you can remove them by paying a one-time only fee of $1,99.
The prices for credits vary from $1,99 for the smallest bundle of 10.000 credits up till $29,99 for the largest bundle of 700.000 credits. The prices for premium nuts start at $1,99 for the smallest bundle of 20 nuts up till $29,99 for the largest bundle of 590 nuts.
There is a way to earn free credits and premium nuts by completing offers on supersonic. Offers usually mean that you have to download other games and play them. Once you have done this, you will receive the promised about of credits or premium nuts. You can also like the developers Facebook page and receive a one-time reward of 1000 credits. You can also earn free premium nuts by watching advertisement videos. After the video ends, you will return to the game menu with one or a few extra premium nuts in your inventory.
You might be sitting there playing Drag Racing 4×4 and thinking that you need to go to the app store in order to buy more nuts and money for the game. The problem with that plan is that the app store costs real money if you want these items, and this gets expensive quickly. At AppGameCheats, we have decided to give you a hack tool that you can use to get the nuts and money for free, and this tool is completely safe to download on iOS and Android.
Check out the image below, which shows you the options menu, and this is where you will go to enter the amounts of each item you want to add to your account.
Simply download the hack tool, which takes about 30 seconds, and then it will begin automatically installing on your device. It takes about 45 seconds for the hack to install completely. Then, choose either iOS or Android, depending on which device you are using to play the game. You can then enter the amounts of money and nuts you want to add to your gaming account.
Simply click “Start” to run the hack tool for Drag Racing 4×4, which takes no more than 45 seconds to complete. You can then open up Drag Racing 4×4 as you normally would, and you will notice that the nuts and money have been added to your account already. You can use this hack tool as many times as you want in order to get more nuts and money on your gaming account, and it eliminates ever spending real money in the app store.
There are literally dozens and dozens of websites that claim they have a working cheat tool, hack tool or other kind of tool for Drag Racing 4×4, that could give you unlimited credits, nuts and nitrous. I decided to read up on one of those alleged cheat tools and the instructions said that the cheat tool would inject unlimited credits, nuts and nitrous into your game by modifying your game files. For the sake of this review, I decided to download one of these alleged cheat tools, to find out what it was all about.
Before I could even download the files, I needed to fill in a survey. These survey are really annoying and they are there so that the people who own the cheat sites can earn money off of people who actually fill in these surveys. After I had filled in a survey, my download automatically started. I started up the cheat tool and it looked like a normal program. It told me to connect my mobile device with my computer by USB cable. After I did that, I could fill in how many credits, nuts and nitrous I wanted injected into my game, but as you could have already guessed, it didn’t actually work. The program kept saying that it could not detect my mobile phone and that I should try reconnecting it. These programs are nothing but empty shells so you should never bother filling in a survey, just to get them. Instead of trying to find cheats for Drag Racing 4×4, I will give you some tips and tricks which you can use in your gameplay.
Before a race starts in Drag Racing 4×4, you and your opponent need to tap on the gas paddle. It is important to learn how to do this properly, because getting a perfect start usually means that you will win that particular race. You need to tap on the gas paddle repeatedly, but also try to stay in the green zone on your speed counter. If you do this correctly, you will speed up much faster in the beginning and have a little boost.
While a perfect start is very important to a drag race, it is also very important to shift gears at the right times. What you need to do is look closely on your speed counter, and once you are in the green zone, you can shift gears by tapping on your shift stick. Shifting in the green zones will assure you of a perfect shirt and speed your car up even faster. At the beginning of your gameplay, you will have a couple of nitrous that you can use to give your car a nice speed boost and it is important to always have a few in your inventory, especially if you are playing multiplayer. You can either purchase more nitrous with credits or get them for free by watching advertisement videos.
At some point in the single player career mode, you will get stuck because your opponents simply have way better cars. Do not forget that you can always go back a few levels and just replay those levels to grind for extra credits. Once you have saved up enough credits, you can upgrade your car and you will be able to defeat even stronger opponents than ever before.
As the name already made me think, this game is all about drag racing against your opponents and upgrading your car to be the best drag racing car in the world. The game starts with a nice little tutorial that shows you how to control your car, how to properly race and how to use your nitrous. After that it also shows you how to upgrade parts of your car and purchase other cars once you have saved up enough credits. I really like the fact that the car models and names are real, which gives the game a realistic feeling. It also shows that the developers probably spend money to be able to use the name rights, which is true dedication in my opinion. After the tutorial is finished, the game becomes pretty straightforward, but it is nice that there are several different modes you can play. There is the career mode for when you want to play the main campaign of the game, but also modes such as drivers battle, which is the multiplayer mode of Drag Racing 4×4. If you wish to practice your racing skills, or simply want to take your car out for a test drive, there is also an offline mode.
While the game is pretty decent and fun to play, unfortunately there are several negative aspects about it that kind of ruined the gameplay for me. For starters, there are a lot of advertisements in Drag Racing 4×4. Ad pop-ups show up right when you are about to tap the screen to continue. There are also advertisement banners at the top of the screen and sometimes bottom, and while these don’t bother the players, they can still be pretty annoying to look at. It feels like the developers of Drag Racing 4×4 did this on purpose so that people will purchase the “Remove Ads” item in the in-game store. This just makes the game feel like a cheap cash grab.
People who can afford to spend money and purchase nitrous in Drag Racing 4×4 are basically unbeatable. This makes multiplayer really unfair. Next to that, you can’t play multiplayer whenever you want. You can only play two multiplayer races before you need to wait a whole hour to be able to race other players again. Of course you can pay up five premium nuts to be able to race again. This is another reason why Drag Racing 4×4 feels like a cheap cash grab.
The last negative aspect I want to mention is that upgrades and purchasing new cars cost a lot of credits. You could of course keep grinding levels for hours to earn enough credits to be able to purchase new cars or to be able to upgrade the cars you already earn but some of them cost literally hundreds of thousands of credits. Of course you can purchase credits in the in-game store, but if you cannot afford to spend real money on a free-to-play game, you are basically stuck with the tier one cars for a long while.
Artwork: I give Drag Racing 4×4 a 7/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Drag Racing 4×4 are actually pretty decent considering that it’s a mobile game. I like the fact that the cars used in this game are realistic and have real names instead of fake made-up car models and names. This means that the developers probably had to pay the car manufacturers to use the car names, which shows that they were pretty dedicated to make this game work. I think it’s nice to see the actual console of the car while you race your opponents. You can press the gas paddle, shift gears and press the NOS button which is a nice touch of realism. The car designs are pretty detailed and a nice feature to have in a drag racer game. The only reason Drag Racing 4×4 loses a couple of points for artwork is because customizing your car is very limited. It feels like the developers didn’t want to spend much time detailing the “garage” part of the game.
Music & SFX: I give Drag Racing 4×4 a 7/10 for its music and SFX. The game has a couple of soundtracks for the menus which sounds like slow music at first and then starts going towards rock and roll. I think it’s nice that the background music changes pace depending on where you are in the game so that you do not get disturbed by it too much. For example, when you start a drag race, the music will be turned really low but still a bit hearable in the background, and it will go louder once the race is over. There are also many sound effects that are attached to menu buttons for example but also a lot of in-game car relation sound effects. I think the soundtracks and sound effects fit well together.
Story & Originality: I give Drag Racing 4×4 a 7/10 for its story and originality. When you look up drag racer games on the app stores, you will find out that there are quite a few drag racer games available, but that doesn’t mean that Drag Racing 4×4 isn’t original. For example, I couldn’t find another drag racer game that was just dedicated to 4×4 cars, so Drag Racing 4×4 deserves some credit on that. Unfortunately there was no story so it was just all about racing, earning money and upgrading your cars.
General Gameplay: I give Drag Racing 4×4 and 7/10 for general gameplay. After you have played Drag Racing 4×4 for a couple of times, the gameplay starts becoming very straightforward. Luckily there are a few different game modes that you can try out, if you are getting bored of the regular campaign. I liked the fact that there was a multiplayer mode where you could drag race other players around the world and earn a lot of cash to upgrade your cars. The gameplay itself is smooth and it is clear on what your objectives are.
Addictiveness: I give Drag Racing 4×4 a 7/10 for addictiveness. I could imagine Drag Racing 4×4 being very addictive for car and race enthusiasts, and while it was fun for me to play, a couple of things were very annoying for me. For example, I like it when I can challenge other players in mobile games and it was nice that I could do this in Drag Racing 4×4, but I was being limited by two races an hour. I could of course use nuts to be able to play more multiplayer, but why should I have to spend premium currency just to be able to play a specific mode in a game. The developers should find other ways to generate an income for themselves.
All things considered, I give Drag Racing 4×4 a 7/10.
