Evil forces lurk in the forests and meadows of Astoria, but few men and women dare to harness the seething power of souls to vanquish these dark beings… Welcome to Elune Saga, GAMEVIL’s thrilling, card-based role-playing adventure for Apple and Android. If the idea of a full-feature game with an extraordinary storyline within the palm of your hand sounds appealing, Elune Saga is the mobile app just for you. You begin your new life as an Elune: a being granted with the gift to harness the power of souls, and to use their power in your endeavors. Your name is Tristam, and you’re searching for other souls near the dark rift that may have known your missing father; the only things guiding you being a necklace with mysterious, unknown powers, and the burning desire to reach your goals for the sake of your father. Elune Saga will take you on a journey like no other, down to the very epicenter of evil within Astoria. Few beings reach the Dark Rift, or depart from it alive, but with the help of friends along the way, you may just stand a chance.
The main goal of the game is to reach the final destination of your travels, at the Dark Rift. Along the way, your mettle will be tested as you enter combat against various minions, and many bosses. To win these battles, you need to employ every shred of strategic knowledge, both while planning your attack, and while on the battlefield. You are in control of characters with specific traits and abilities that are granted to them by harnessed souls; the souls you equip can change the outcome of a battle, which means deliberation must be taken when selecting souls to equip. When you select and equip your souls, you will position you and your allies for battle, and enter when you are ready. Your enemies will come in waves, and to win a level, you must successfully defeat all of the waves while keeping you and your allies alive. Don’t drop your guard and get sloppy; as fun as Elune Saga may be, this game will push you to your limits.
When you aren’t busy in battle, you can fall back to the town for some R&R. You will start out with access to the Inn, a soul summoner, the soul upgrade building, an arena, and a trading post. You may use the soul summoning building to summon high-energy souls that will greatly boost your combat abilities, and you can take those souls to the upgrade building to further enhance the benefits you gain from harnessing these souls. Summoning these souls takes soul gems, however, and the trading post will supply you with them for IAP (in-app purchases). The inn is the place to go if you decide you want to recruit more characters to your party in exchange for gold, which is a very good idea if you want to do well in the game. Once you have a character and soul configuration that you like, you can go to the arena to face other human players in battle, the perfect way to test your true skill!
When configuring your souls, you must keep a few things in mind. Every character, minion, and boss in the game is assigned an elemental value of either Water, Fire, Earth, or Wind. As you may have guessed, an element will be vulnerable to one other element, strong against another element, and neutral in regards to the remaining element. For example, the Fire element is strong against the Earth element, but is weak against the Water element, and has no weaknesses or strengths against the Wind element. There will be a small diagram depicting this circle of elemental strengths and weaknesses on the side of your screen during battle, so don’t worry if you can’t memorize it.
Each character that you control will have an attack value for all four elements, and assigning certain souls, which also have elemental values, will boost the corresponding stats of your character. For example, assigning a Water elemental soul to your character will boost his Water element attack stats by the amount listed on the soul card. Since your character will be able to equip several souls as you level up, you will be able to boost more than one stat if you wish, or you could make one stat extremely powerful; it’s all up to what feels right for you. Once you’ve buffed your character’s elemental attacks, your attacks will be more effective against enemies that have an element that is weak to your own! One last note regarding souls: each soul has a unique power that you can use during combat, so make sure you save soul cards that have powers that you want, and NOT use them to upgrade your other souls (more on that is to come).
If you are already playing Elune Saga, then you probably have figured out that you will need a lot of gold, soulstones, and soul lists in this game to progress through the phases. You can get soulstones in the app store or purchase them through the in-game option, but this costs real money, and it can get expensive really quickly.
This is why we at AppGameCheats have added a hack tool for Elune Saga, which gives you soulstones, soul list and gold for free.
Check out the image below and you will notice how easily the hack tool is setup, with an options menu that you use to input the values of each item you want to add.
All you need to do is download the Elune Saga hack tool right here on our website, which takes only about 20 seconds to download. The generator will automatically install, which takes no more than 45 seconds, and then you just select either iOS or Android depending on which device you are using to play the game. You will then need to enter how many of each item you want to add to your game account.
When you are ready, click “Start” so that the Elune Saga hack tool can run, and this takes just around 30 seconds to 45 seconds to complete. Once it has finished, you open up Elune Saga on your device as normal, and you will find that the items are already added onto your account. By using this hack tool, you can get as much gold, soulstones, and soul lists as you need, and you will never have to purchase anything from the app store again.
As you’ve probably already gathered, Elune Saga is full of intricacy and strategy; this is definitely not a game that the developers rushed in any way. Because of this, you need to make sure you know the ins and outs of this game if you expect to progress with success; luckily for you, we’ve got you covered.
Soul Upgrades- The most crucial part of powering-up your character will always be upgrading your souls. Without soul upgrades, you’ll forever stay an Elune Saga n00b, and nobody in the arena is going to respect you one bit. Upgrading your souls without rhyme or reason won’t get you in much of a better position either, so listen up. The first thing to do before upgrading any souls is to choose a soul that has an ability that you will find useful. Since you only get three soul slots that give you a soul’s ability, you will have to choose wisely. When you find the optimal soul for your purposes, your next step is then to find other, preferably weaker souls of the same element. Finding another soul of the same element is important for this one reason: extra levels for your soul upgrade. When you upgrade a soul, you must use other souls as “material” (basically a sacrifice) to upgrade your soul with. You can use any soul for “material”, but not many people know that using a soul of the same element will actually give your upgraded soul more XP than if you used a soul of a different element as your “material”! Neat, huh?
Auto Combat- Are your fingers feeling a little tired? Can’t beat a boss level, no matter how hard you try, even though you have an awesome soul configuration? Worry no more; we’ve got your back once again with an obscure little cheat which has been my secret weapon in Elune Saga for the past few days. Tucked away out of sight in the bottom left hand corner of your screen, there should be a little clear button that says “auto” on it during combat. Once you press that, you have all of the processing power of the device in your hand fighting your battles for you! All you have to do is sit back and watch as your characters smash The Tainted, gaining XP and earn loot for you with minimal effort. Clearing those boss levels have never been easier.
Soul Reviews- Now that you’re on your way to become an Elune Saga grandmaster, you’ll be picking up and summoning plenty of soul cards, and you’ll be opening up plenty of soul slots to place them in. The only problem you have now is the uncertainty of which soul will serve you the best; after all, the big league is a dog-eat-dog world, and you need the best souls you can get. Luckily for us, the game has other tricks and cheats for us to use: we can access reviews of souls left by other players, and learn which souls are worthwhile! All you have to do is go to the soul upgrade building, select a soul, and tap the “review soul” button found just below the soul’s ability description. This should take you to an interface of reviews, which have been rated according to accuracy and usefulness by other players. With the conglomerate wisdom of players around the globe, you’ll gain an edge over even the most diligent Elune Saga players, and you’ll never again be uncertain over which souls to upgrade, and which souls to use as “material”.
Regular Log-ins- Last, but not least, we have another important secret to share with you. Elune Saga rewards players for simply logging in each day! The more times you log in, the more freebies and awesome extras you’ll get! Each day you log in to play is another advantage you gain over your competitors; soon enough, you can be the biggest, baddest Elune Saga player in town, all it takes is a single log-in every day.
Within minutes after opening the game, I knew Elune Saga was going to be special. The impressive opening cutscene was so well-crafted that I have to admit I watched it a second time, simply for the pleasure of viewing it. Needless to say, the visual aspect of this game is absolutely amazing. Since the game teaches you the rules and mechanics of play through instant immersion, I was slightly overwhelmed by all of the buttons, menus and displays on my screen when I reached my first combat stage. Luckily enough, Elune Saga has a very informative tutorial which had me thwarting The Tainted (the main enemies of the game) in no time! The slight learning curve of Elune Saga wasn’t nearly enough to turn me off from this impressively fine-tuned game, so I stuck with it, and eventually learned everything that I would need to know.
Elune Saga has been such a great journey so far, and yet it’s so hard to describe, despite the hours of gameplay I’ve managed to log in the past few days. It would be unfair to describe it simply as another run-of-the-mill RPG, following the trope of countless predecessors; instead, Elune Saga is best described as exactly the title says: a saga that doesn’t simply start and end with each battle, but a masterpiece of a dynamic storyline and interesting dialogue. I find myself wondering what my next quest will be, and if there will be any further revelations in the mystery surrounding my father and the strange necklace that he passed down to me.
While the storyline of Elune Saga has many great things to offer, I do have a minor complaint about the somewhat repetitive nature of combat. The stages vary, and so do the minions you fight, but I feel that more variance in the enemies would greatly improve my enjoyment of Elune Saga. Overall, this doesn’t pull me too far away from the experience, and I understand that for a free game, the work put into it has been exceptional.
Artwork- The artwork for Elune Saga is definitely something special, and it is one of the main draws of the game, in my own opinion. While the artwork isn’t always the best it can be, it is near perfection when you take into account that the game is free. I’ll give the artwork a 9.5/10
Music and SFX- The music in Elune Saga feels inspiring and uplifting; I think it suits the game perfectly. My only quibble with the music is that it is a fairly short, 1 minute clip of music being played repeatedly, and the break in between repetitions is very jarring; this could definitely use improvement. The sound effects, on the other hand, are satisfying and spot-on; I have no complaints in terms of SFX. I’ll give music and SFX a total rating of 6.5/10
Story and Originality- The story is enjoyable and unique; I haven’t experienced another game with a concept quite like Elune Saga. Story and originality scores a 10/10.
General Gameplay- With all of Elune Saga’s complexities and hidden strategies, this game has become an absolute treat to experience. My only complaints on general gameplay is the slight repetitive nature of the combat system, and the sheer amount of content that is placed behind a pay wall of IAP. However, while taking the daily log-in rewards into consideration, those complaints don’t really matter as much. I think the general gameplay deserves an 8/10.
Addictiveness- Elune Saga has been one of the few games I play at night with regularity, mostly because of the story arc that the game follows. Playing Elune Saga for more than an hour becomes slightly tedious, so it is best reserved for staggered gameplay. Elune Saga scores a 7/10 on the addictiveness scale.
With every sub-category taken into account, I will give Elune Saga a total rating of 8/10.
