Artwork: I give Fish Live an 8/10 for its artwork. While simplistic, the graphics in Fish Live are pretty decent. The fish and environment are detailed and clear. The attention to detail for other things such as décor and themes for your aquarium are also pretty nice. All in all, the artwork is easy on your eyes and even if you play on your smartphone, everything is easily visible.
Music & SFX: I give Fish Live a 7/10 for its music and SFX. The soundtrack in the background is nice and calm, not too loud but also not too quiet. Even if it is in an endless loop it is still better than having no soundtrack. The SFX in Fish Live are also nice and add a nice touch to the gameplay. Little sound effects while feeding your fish or receiving a rewards are always nice.
Story & Originality: I give Fish Live a 7/10 for its story and originality. While the game itself is probably not that original since there are dozens of games such as Fish Live out there, I still find Fish Live a very good game. There is no story behind it but you can use your own imagination to make up one. You could pretend that you own a fish store and you sell fish to lovely families, or you could pretend you are a child and you finally received your first aquarium. It is all up to you what you want to do with this game.
General Gameplay: I give Fish Live an 8/10 for general gameplay. Fish Live is pretty straightforward once you get used to the gameplay. You repeat everything you do such as clean, feed and love your fish and you get rewarded for it. The higher your level is, the nicer fishes you can buy. The social aspect of Fish Live is also very nice because you can play and communicate with other real players.
Addictiveness: I give Fish Live a 7/10 for addictiveness. The good thing about Fish Live is that there are no energy bars or whatsoever that block you from playing the game when you want to and force you to wait. Instead there is just not much to do after you have cleaned your aquarium and fed your fish. It takes time for your fish to get hungry again and for your aquarium to get dirty again. It also takes time for your fish to mature and breed, so you would have to wait for that as well. You can speed things up by using cash, which cost real money. You could always visit other people’s aquariums and feed their fish and clean their aquariums to earn gold coins and experience points. It all depends on how you want to play Fish Live.
