Hill Climb Racing Cheats and Tips

If you feel like after your upgrade, nothing has changed, it’s likely due to the nature of the track.  If you’re increasing your engine power on a smooth surface, you won’t get enough traction to put that power to use.  Increasing your speed on those maps, means increasing your traction so that it is the same level as your engine is the optimal idea.  Then, it will be more powerful.

Another common complaint is that upgrading the engine doesn’t help with the acceleration or hill climbing abilities.  The reason nothing is happening is because you don’t have the wheels to pull it off.  By increasing or upgrading the wheels as well as power, you’ll be able to feel the acceleration and hill-climbing power increase.  I’d recommend keeping all of your upgrades consistent with each other or, on the same level as each other because it feel slike every upgrade is connected to each other.

If you’re running through the vehicles and not seeing one that you particularly favor or prefer, I’d recommend choosing the Monster Truck or Tank.  These vehicles are able to go almost anywhere.  They’re like the best “All-around cars”.  You’ll be able to roll with these cars for bonuses and can start stacking those coins for the “nicer” vehicles.

The best location for gaining coins is most likely(I mean that I am just approximating, not a actually tested thing) Moon.  You’ll be able to hang in the air due to gravity and also be able to get the airtime bonuses.  You’ll be able to get around 30,000 coins per run.  When you’re looking for the best vehicle to drive, look for vehicles that don’t stick to the ground.  What I mean by that, is that you want to find vehicles that are able to take off after hitting an uphill.  Those vehicles give the most air time and allow you to be able to get extra points from air tricks.  If you combo a “non-sticky” vehicle with a vehicle that has fast acceleration, you’ll be able to score tricks from the smallest jumps and get you the most coins possible.  Not only are there bonuses for spins, there are also benefits for getting the farthest distance in a jump.

If you get into Hill Climb Racing enough, you’ll eventually need the Hovercraft.  The Hovercraft allows you to get past areas of Beach, Mud, or Volcano.  It’ll help you get through areas that you couldn’t do well on before.

If you’re using the Kiddie Express, you’ll want to find a stage where fuel packs are easy to find and staying upright is easy as pie.  Through the run, you might find that your last car drops off if you hit too many bumps along the way.  Be ready for this because it will increase your acceleration and power due to the less weight.

When you’re thinking of which stages you should unlock in order to make progress the quickest, look for ones that are either easy due to fewer hills or stages, that have less gravity.  Examples of these stages are Countryside, Mars, Moon, and Night.  Other areas can be hard without a ton of upgrades on your car.  Starting with easy maps will allow you to be able to gain a ton of coins from backflips and distance bonuses.  By grinding out one map, you’ll be able to obtain better cars that will allow you to complete other stages without too much difficulty.

Often during the map, your vehicle will be put into a position where your vehicle will immediately start turning.  In order to keep yourself alive in this game, maintain control of your vehicle and steady the vehicle upright a little bit before you hit the ground.  As you play the game more, it’ll come more naturally and you’ll be able to get a feel for how much the car spins.  That means that you’ll need less time making yourself upright, so you’ll ultimately get more spins off and gain more cash.

This is a game more of repetition and learning from your mistakes, rather than actually being skilled at the game.  If you want to spin more, you’ll probably want to buy a Motor Bike for the job.  Motor bikes have the best ability to spin.  They also are able to have decent control if you’re in air.

Fuel is a main aspect of this game and makes you keep on moving in this game.  Your fuel is essentially the time limit on the game.  Hill Climb Racing uses the amount of fuel that your vehicle takes and places fuel along the path that you have to obtain in order to continue along the path.  The largest fuel vehicles are the Truck, Bus, and Kiddie Express.  This means that you’ll start the game with more fuel than other vehicles and you’ll be able to go longer without having to grab a fuel on the way.  Even though you may not have to, because of high fuel supply, but you should obtain fuel whenever it’s offered to you due to the nature of Hill Climb Racing.  When using the vehicles with a low fuel supply, make sure that you’re watching your fuel supply and obtain fuel tanks accordingly.  If you run out of fuel on the track, you lose the run and have to start over.  In harder stages or maps, you may find yourself starting often because of the lack of fuel.  Sometimes runs have to be played perfectly in order to conserve the fuel necessary to complete the run.

After you download the game, you’ll find yourself with a Jeep.  You’ll be placed on the stage known as Countryside.  It’s pretty easy, but this is just the tutorial to show you how the game works.  They don’t show you any tricks or tips to help you in the later stages of the game.  This adds to the excitement of discovering new tricks on your own.  Even though you may want to buy coins using real money immediately to purchase a car of your own, wait until you see how the game works.  Often, you’ll be able to purchase the car through obtaining coins.  It’s not worth spending your hard earned money on a car that you can get from playing the game.  However, I would still spend a little bit of money on the game in order to make it ad-free.  After you’ve made enough coins for Moon, look to play Moon quite a few times.  Moon will get you the amount of coins you need for anything in this game.  Moon will be your main grinding tool in order to get more cars and more upgrades.

If you’re stretched for time, or want to simply grind out more coins in a smaller amount of time.  You’ll be able to achieve this by restarting as soon as you may crash or run out of fuel.  You’ll get to keep all the coins, but won’t have to watch an ad or see the stat summary of your run after every run.  This will keep a constant flow of coins rolling in to the bank.

In all the stages in Hill Climb Racing, you’ll be able to hit checkpoints which are used in order to get a level bonus, and also allow you to be able to respawn there and not have to start from the beginning.  Try to get as far as you can and obtain the level bonuses that Hill Climb Racing offers in order to maximize the coin output.

My final piece of advice to give to you is another coin making tip.  AFter you hit the 2,000m meter mark in Moon, you’ll be able to earn more coins than you did before the 2,000 meter mark.  So if you can always get past that marker, you’ll be able to earn coins more easily and get to your goal quicker.  In fact, in most stages, this is the case.  So if you’re more skilled than other players, by getting to the 2,000 meter mark often, you’ll be earning more coins than your friends in no time.

Hill Climb Racing Review

This game is pretty addictive, I can’t lie, but it does get old once you realize that you’re doing the exact same thing over and over again.  The graphics are animated and it really doesn’t differ from that.  Other than the mechanics of the game, this game’s physics idea is more or less skewed.  It won’t be possible seeing a car go up so high just based off of a small jump.  The various environments is what makes the game separate itself from other games.  It offers different gravity concepts and different terrain concepts.  That helps to keep the game more interesting.

Another good thing about this game is that it’s perfectly free without need to purchase anything.  It’s definitely worth a download if you haven’t done so yet.  The fact that it’s free, but is still a pretty good game is significant to a large portion of gamers.

There is a tedious aspect to this game.  Although it’s free, the game entices you to make purchases due to the tedious work of obtaining coins.  It can take tens of hundreds of runs through the same track in order to get enough coins in order to make the necessary purchases.  It becomes less of an exciting game, to more of a grind.  For that reason, it kind of loses its fun touch.

Although on the outside, this game doesn’t seem very exciting to play, it really is a fun game to play that becomes addictive after a couple of plays.

Ratings

Artwork: I give Hill Climb Racing a 7/10 for artwork. The surroundings look really good, the buildings surrounding the track is nice amount of animation. The progress of the stages also is animated and shows you the progress. The negative thing is the units are way too smaller than they should be. It would’ve been better if they were made with a bigger size.

Music and SFX: I give Hill Climb Racing a 6/10 for the Music and SFX. It is way too repetitive. Once you click on the map, a sound is looping for around 30 seconds, which is really annoying. When you are in your vehicle it is the same soundtrack over and over again. The only different thing are the sound effects when you purchase or upgrade your vehicles. The developers could of added a lot more sound effects and soundtracks than this.

Story and Originality: I give Hill Climb Racing a 7/10 for Story and Originality. There aren’t many racing games that doesn’t require to pay for everything in order to purchase every car and get every upgrade that payers could get. It doesn’t have any specific story behind it, but all you know is that you are in a vehicle and have to get past a bunch of stages in different environments in order to collect coins and get different cars.

General Gameplay: I give Hill Climb Racing a 6/10 for the gameplay, because it is very repetitive, I already mentioned the goal of the game, but there is not anything else to do. You have to keep racing and racing until you feel that you have a large enough money supply. It will become boring after few weeks or maximum a month, because as I mentioned already, once you purchase everything possible there will be nothing much to do except unlock different stages.

Addictiveness: I give Hill Climb Racing a 7/10 for addictiveness, because it requires a lot of time to purchase every single car and upgrade, and that makes you keep playing the game while going through tracks, obtaining coins, and purchasing different upgrades and cars.  However once you use every possible way of obtaining coins, it becomes really slow to get those resources and the pay-to-win element appears. They allowed a good amount of chance for players to get every single that they want from the store, but still have this idea that you have to spend some money in order to not lose a whole month of time in order to get one car.

Overall, I give Hill Climb Racing 7/10 because it does have some degree of addictiveness, but not original at all.
