There are a lot of websites that claim they have working cheats for Zombiewood. When you read about cheats for this game, it is usually in the form of unlimited gold coins and cash money. You will also notice that the promises these websites make are often too good to be true. In order to be able to judge these cheats for myself, I downloaded one of these so called Zombiewood hack tools. The one that I downloaded claimed that I could unlock all weapons, have unlimited energy, have unlimited gold coins and cash money. When I clicked on the download button, I got redirected to a fancy looking download website.
I clicked on the download button again and a pop-up showed up telling me I needed to fill in a survey before I can start downloading this beautiful hack tool for Zombiewood. For the sake of this review, I filled in the survey and downloaded the cheats. I quickly found out that the cheats do not work at all and both the download website as the cheat website made money off of me because I filled in that survey. That’s what these fake websites do. They trick people into filling in surveys because they want the cheats for Zombiewood, but they get nothing in return. Instead of giving you cheats that do not exist, I will give you some tips to improve your gameplay in Zombiewood.
In Zombiewood, it is important to save up your gold coins and cash money in order to be able to upgrade your weapons and gear. If you do not want to spend money to purchase these coins and cash, you can easily earn them by grinding levels over and over again. Try to pick levels that have a time limit because these are usually filled with zombies, and the more zombies you kill, the more coins you can collect.
You should not purchase weapons right at the start of your gameplay. These are usually very weak weapons and will be no good in later levels. Save up your coins and cash and purchase weapons with a high damage rate. After you have purchased high tier weaponry, you should not forget that you can still upgrade them even more in the in-game store. Using gold coins, you can upgrade and increase the weapons’ damage, firing rates and ammo size.
Sometimes you won’t be able to progress through the game if you have not collected enough reels. Reels are awarded to you after you successfully finish a level, but the amount of reels you receive depends on how well you have performed in that particular level. If you do not have enough reels to progress further, you can always go back to previous levels and try to complete all of the objectives in them. By doing so, you will be awarded more reels, which unlocks the other levels.
Before I downloaded Zombiewood, I imagined it would be another one of those generic zombie shooters, but I was never more wrong. Zombiewood is a perfect mixture between a zombie shooter and humorous jokes and action backed up by a great story. You start your gameplay with a short but helpful tutorial, which teaches you the basics of the game. In the beginning, the controls can be a little overwhelming because you need to use both your thumbs to move and to shoot. After you get the hang of it, the game becomes easier and more enjoyable. While the graphics are cartoonish and humorous, does not mean that the graphics weren’t appealing. The explosive special effects are pretty astonishing for a mobile game. I am pleasantly surprised by a lot of features this game has implemented.
Zombiewood also has an integrated multiplayer platform. You can play with and against your friends by connecting your Facebook or Google+ with Zombiewood. This way you can see your friends’ score and try to achieve higher scores than they ever had. If you do not like the challenge your friends, you can also play together to earn more gold coins and experience points than you normally would if you played alone.
I always admire free-to-play games when they do not limit the player by implementing timers or lives or even energy bars. These things just turn off casual gamers such as myself and that is bad news for developers. The fact that Zombiewood does not have any of these things, makes it an even better game.
Unfortunately there are also a few negative aspects to Zombiewood. For example, the game can get pretty repetitive because the objectives in many levels seem to be the same. You just have to shoot zombie and make sure you survive. This is especially the case when you play the single player mode. Good thing that the developers tried to counter this by adding more modes to the game and even a multiplayer mode as I have mentioned above.
Another very negative aspect would be that the prices for the purchasable items in the in-game store are sometimes absurdly high. I don’t know anyone who would want to spend twenty dollars just to be able to buy a package deal on a free-to-play game. It is true that there are a lot of items that are cheaper than twenty dollars. It still doesn’t take away that it could feel like a cash grab by the developers. Premium currency should be easier to earn in the game that way expensive items can be purchased by players that love the game and play it often and players that are able to spend a lot of real money on the game and purchase items immediately.
Artwork: I give Zombiewood an 8/10 for its artwork. The graphics of this game are really impressive and gives Zombiewood a humorous and cartoonish style of gameplay. The attention to detail in the surroundings of the set, the props, the zombies, the weapons and even the character himself are very impressive as well. You can easily tell that the developers at Gameloft spend a lot of time animating this game. The game also features a lot of special effects, for example with explosives and structures breaking down.
Music & SFX: I give Zombiewood an 8/10 for its music and SFX. Like the artwork in Zombiewood, the soundtracks and sound effects are also pretty impressive, especially for a mobile game. It seems like the developers thought about everything when they designed the SFX for this game. The soundtracks gives the player a thrilling feeling and the sound effects such as the zombie roars just adds a lot of value to Zombiewood. Both the soundtracks and the sound effects are easy on the ears, so you will not be disturbed much while playing this game.
Story & Originality: I give Zombiewood a 9/10 for its story and originality. As a casual mobile gamer, I could easily say that I never played a game like this before. Sure there are a lot of zombie shooter games out on the mobile platforms, but I have never experienced something like Zombiewood before. The fact that the game also has a story at the beginning and refers to popular zombie movies makes the game even more original.
General Gameplay: I give Zombiewood an 8/10 for general gameplay. Everything from the tutorial at the beginning till the gameplay after that is well designed and thought out. The tutorial teaches you all the basics you need to know in order to continue on your own. There are a lot of features added to the game that makes the gameplay even more enjoyable. Items such as weapons, armor, vanity items and boosters makes you try even harder to be able to unlock them. The only downfall for the gameplay for me was that it had lags with all the action and explosions going on at the same time. This could have something to do with the device I am using so I will not deduct points for this.
Addictiveness: I give Zombiewood an 8/10 for addictiveness. The game is absolutely packed with levels you can play and items you can unlock by leveling up. By leveling up you can also unlock more weapons and other items. Things such as this always makes you come back for more. Zombiewood is even more addictive because of the fact that you are not being limited by lives or energy bars. You can play as long as you want, whenever you want.
All things considered, I give Zombiewood an 8/10.
