To be honest I was not very enthusiastic about Flight Pilot Simulator 3D Free at first. Not because of the game reviews on the Google Store (they were overwhelmingly positive) but because I don’t fancy this type of games. I find planes and everything related to them not suited for a game of any kind. But Flight Pilot Simulator 3D taught me otherwise. This game is simple yet amazing. The content abounds in this game – lots of airplanes, lots of different objectives, a simple well-build leveling-up system, difficulty raises slowly but steady and a Free Flight Mode where you can do whatever you want and still win some money for buying more and more planes.

In my opinion Flight Pilot Simulator 3D is one of the few real simulation games out there. You start right from the beginning where you will learn how to lift up your plane and how to basically fly and then you do complicated military missions. Of course that from time to time you water the crops, kill the pesky insects or put out a fire but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. My point here is that this game is probably the closest way for a random person to find out what it’s like to be a pilot without taking actual pilot lessons (talking about simulators on mobile devices here) and I think that is great. I also like that they listen to their players and implement suggestions that they like (for example the experience system).

The game does not really have any weak spots – the only thing I can think of is that if it would have had a multiplayer implementation (which is strange for a simulator, I know) this game would have been perfect. Flight Pilot Simulator 3D Free is a great game that should be downloaded by everybody even though you are not fan and especially if you are one because it will offer you a great experience.

Ratings

Artwork: Flight Pilot Simulator 3D gets 9 out of 10 for its artwork. The planes are very detailed and the graphics are looking great – the game does not have the most recent graphics engine but to be honest it does not even need it. The environment (which is very vast in this game because of the open world feature) looks finished and well-designed, the background looks polished and the airports are a pleasure to the eye. The only small problem I encountered is about the rendering of cities which is a bit too slow (perhaps the developers induced this to avoid lag issues) but does not annoy the player or mix up with the gameplay in any way. It is funny that even the menu options and buttons are looking like plane parts – this shows dedication.

Music & SFX: I give the game 9 out of 10 for its Music & SFX. The music is not really important to a flight simulator and it is only present in the game menu. It is well-suited because it sounds like a 80s action movie and gives Flight Pilot Simulator 3D a retro touch. The SFX sounds awesome and very real. There aren’t any out of the ordinary aspects about the music or the SFX of the game and this is what I expected because the game is a simulator so no monkey business allowed.

Story/Originality: Flight Pilot Simulator 3D gets 9 out of 10 at this segment. Undoubtedly there are some airplane games out there but there is not any as good and complete as this one. This game did not copy any other game. Flight Pilot Simulator 3D does not have a story but the different scenarios makes the game look like it has more stories than one – you don’t only pilot a commercial plane because there are also gliders you use for various local tasks, military planes which you take from battleships, you fly jets that are more quicker than sound, you get involved in aerial firefighting, you fly enormous cargo planes and much more. If this is not called original I don’t know what is.

General Gameplay: The game gets at this segment 10 out 10. Flight Pilot Simulator 3D’s gameplay is flawless. Even though it is intuitive, the game helps you with different tips during the first missions and you can always practice if you don’t feel ready. The developers tried and succeeded in the implementation of a simple yet complete control system. The plane is very responsive to your controls on both speeds (1x and 2x) and the plane handling is good. There are only a few buttons but they do their job well. Because of the nature of the game I expected a lot of problems and bugs but fortunately I did not encounter any at all and that’s why Flight Pilot Simulator 3D gets the maximum rating – I would have given it 11/10.

Addictiveness: 10 out of 10 out of discussion for Flight Pilot Simulator 3D Free. As I mentioned before I did not think that this type of game can be so addictive. Generally, when I am reviewing a game about its addictiveness I look especially for the extra things implemented in it by the developers to make the player want to stay. Fortunately for Flight Pilot Simulator 3D I will make an exception because the game is so good it does not need any extras. The game already has a leveling-up system, tons of different missions and dozens of real airplanes. It also has that Free Flight Mode that I talked about in the review for at least 3 times because it is such a good idea. They introduced a Lottery in the game that gives you a chance of winning coins or even planes – In my opinion the game did not need this extra but now that I have it I love it. I never thought that I was going to say it but the addictiveness of Flight Pilot Simulator 3D is solely because of its genius gameplay.

Overall, I give Flight Pilot Simulator 3D Free 9.5 out of 10. One of the best mobile device games I ever played. It is simply outstanding.
